A 57-year-old woman was fatally shot in the face in front of her family when she tried to defend her husband and son from a pair of violent robbers in their lower Manhattan condo building Monday night.
Home health aide Ying Zhu Liu was found dead inside the eighth-floor hallway of the Two Bridges building located at 44 Market St. just after 11 p.m., police said.
“It’s all surreal,” Liu’s grieving 32-year-old son, Lin Rong Yan, told The Post on Tuesday. “I feel only sadness right now.”
Two suspects in black ski masks allegedly followed the victim’s husband, 61, into the building and into the elevator, where they attempted to rob him.
