A woman was allegedly raped inside a vehicle she assumed was her rideshare over the weekend in Staten Island, according to police sources.
The victim got into the car — thinking it was the car she’d ordered — on Forest Avenue near Ridgewood Place in Tompkinsville around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, according to authorities and sources.
The motorist drove a few blocks before stopping short and getting in the backseat — where he allegedly raped the victim, according to the sources.
The victim reported being forced out of the vehicle before her attacker drove off, cops said.
She was taken to Richmond University Medical Center by private means, with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police could not confirm Monday morning whether the vehicle was actually a rideshare, or a random car she mistook for her ride.
No further information was immediately available.
