A 30-year-old Bronx mom was allegedly held down by her thuggish neighbor while his girlfriend viciously stabbed her to death in an elevator – all in a dispute over a dog.
Beyonce Johnson, 24, and her 21-year-old boyfriend, Saleh Ceesay, got into a scuffle with mom Shashamanie Thompson inside their Highbridge apartment building Sunday night, with the encounter turning deadly, prosecutors said as Ceesay was arraigned on murder charges.
The dying woman lived long enough to identify her alleged killer.

“This was a very fast altercation that [Ceesay’s] girlfriend didn’t start,” attorney Edwin Sapone told The Post. “It appears to have been a situation that was happening over time, where this neighbor had a dog in the hallway.

The slain woman and the rowdy couple had a long history of disputes, law enforcement sources said.

The pair even threw the dying victim out of the elevator – but she lived long enough to finger her killer, Bronx Assistant District Attorney Skylar Seabert said in court.
Ceesay still had blood splattered on his sweatpants as he faced the judge.
“Upon arrival of officers and first responders, the victim stated, in sum and substance, ‘the girl in 6D did this,’” Seabert told Judge David Goodwin. “Defendant Johnson is believed to reside in apartment 6D. This incident was captured on surveillance footage, both audio and video.”
Sapone told the judge that the evidence against Johnson was stronger than that against Ceesay, adding, “Not to throw her under the bus, it is stronger against his girlfriend.”
Ceesay was ordered held without bail while Johnson’s arraignment is pending. Johnson remained hospitalized after her arrest.
