A 22-year-old woman was stabbed to death in Midtown Tuesday night, police said.
The young victim was stabbed in the chest near the intersection of West 40th Street and Eighth Avenue around 10:17 p.m., according to the NYPD.
She was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, cops said.

A suspect described as a woman wearing a white shirt and blue jeans was seen fleeing down Eighth Avenue, cops said.
There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
