The New York Civil Liberties Union is suing the NYPD to try to get Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly’s schedules over the past several years.

The NYCLU filed the suit Tuesday on behalf of a watchdog website, nypdconfidential.com. It’s run by longtime journalist Leonard Levitt.

Levitt had written columns saying Kelly was having regular lunch meetings with power brokers at the Harvard Club.

He had sought the schedules through the Freedom of Information Act.

The department rejected the request. It said that making Kelly’s calendars public could violate his safety and privacy, and that of the people he was meeting with.

There was no immediate response from the NYPD.
