Members of a crime ring known as the Brick Squad —  who speak in an elaborate made-up language and report to a leader nicknamed The Godfather — were arrested on a slew of murder, weapons and drug charges, authorities said Friday.

Ten alleged gangsters — who also went by the name “Immortal Stone Gorilla Gang” — were nailed in a sweeping 48-count indictment centering on a widespread drug ring and a shooting death last year, according to Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez.

The three men connected to the slaying of Claudell Gary, 37 — Quazeer Farmer, Stephan Khadu and Markel Pender— each face charges of murder in the second degree along with criminal possession of a weapon, authorities said. Gary was killed outside of a church in Bed Stuy in April 2018.

Other gang members allegedly sold marijuana, cocaine and fentanyl-laced heroin as far away as Bangor, Maine, authorities said.

To run the scheme, gang members communicated via a code they called “Ape Music” — using the word “A-Rod” for cocaine, “hustler music” for Harlem and “home invasion” for heroin, authorities said.

Ringleader Howard Smith, a.k.a. The Godfather, allegedly used the language to talk to non-incarcerated gang members while in prison about plans to enact “violent acts,” according to authorities.

Unlike many street gangs, which tend to be a loose collection of young men who are neighborhood friends, this one has a rigid hierarchy and a strict set of rules, Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said at a press conference Friday.

“This is a bona fide gang,” Gonzalez said. “These aren’t just young men who hang out together and get in trouble together.”

He added, “Breaking [set] rules carries severe consequences, from getting beat up to actually getting killed,” Gonzalez said.

The gang has an organizational chart of its hierarchy that it has dubbed the “Forbes list,” Gonzalez said.

It is also known as the Brick Squad and is a subset — or a “cave” — of Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation, along with the Bloods.

Six of the defendants were arraigned Thursday and were either remanded without bail or held on $500,000 bail. The others will be arraigned on Friday and Monday.

The indictment also includes charges such as conspiracy to commit murder and sell narcotics along with weapons possession.

On April 18, 2018, Gary was having a conversation in front of Mt. Zion Pentecostal Church in Bed-Stuy when he was shot and killed, police said.

The eldest of the three suspects arrested in connection to his death, Stephen Kadu, has also been charged in connection to the slaying of a 17-year-old boy more than two years ago, police said.

That victim, John Fernandez, was shot in the neck and found dead on Bainbridge Street in Bed-Stuy on December 7, 2017, according to police.
