More cops than ever before will be stationed in Times Square for the New Year’s Eve celebration Thursday night and Friday morning amid fears of an ISIS-fueled terrorist attack, authorities said on Tuesday.

Although there is no credible threat, city officials explained at a press conference that the NYPD will have about 600 to 800 more police officers on patrol than in 2014, including all 1,123 rookies who were sworn in on Tuesday.

Nearly 6,000 cops will be in or near Times Square.
