MANHATTAN

Cops are hunting a quintet of drugstore cowboys who robbed an Upper West Side pharmacy last month, authorities said.

The bandits broke into a Duane Reade at Columbus Avenue near West 94th Street on Dec. 21 at 10 p.m. and were confronted by a security guard.

One of the thugs flashed a handgun and the group quickly grabbed an assortment of over-the-counter drugs from the shelves before fleeing, cops said.

The five are described as in their late teens to early 20s and wearing red and black clothing. The guard was not injured.

Police discovered the bullet-riddled corpse of a man in an SUV in Canarsie early yesterday, cops said.

The 34-year-old Maryland man was slumped over the steering wheel of a 2003 GMC Envoy parked with the engine running at the corner of East 102nd Street and Flatlands Avenue at 12:30 a.m., police said.

The man, who did not appear to have been robbed, was shot in the head and torso and was pronounced dead at the scene, cops said.

Two masked men made off with about $4,000 after they held up a Prospect Heights store, police sources said yesterday.

The duo walked into Flatbush Grocery and News on Flatbush Avenue near Sterling Place at 11 p.m. on Thursday, the sources said.

One of the hoodlums, clad in black stocking masks, grabbed an employee from behind and took him to the back of the store at gunpoint, while his accomplice handled the other male victim, authorities said.

Once at the rear of the shop, the armed suspect forced one of the victims to give him money from the register, safe and lottery register, as well as a plastic garbage bag into which to put the money, police sources said.

After taking the money, the crooks bound the victims with their own shoelaces.

They took the victims’ cellphones and the keys to the store, which the thieves used to lock the door behind them when they fled.
