An NYPD officer was hit by a car Monday when a pair of men sped away from a traffic stop in Queens, cops said.
The encounter started at about 12:30 p.m. when cops spotted two men driving with fake plates and stopped the pair near 145 Street and Rockaway Boulevard in South Jamaica, according to police.
The officer was hit and knocked to the ground when the pair peeled away, police said.
The two men later ditched the car in the area and took off on foot, but cops caught up with pair a short time later, police said. Charges against the two men are pending.
The officer was treated at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center for a cut to his head, cops said.
