The officer caught on camera punching two teens in a wild subway melee in Brooklyn last weekend was transferred to a different command Monday, sources said.
The unidentified cop from the 84th Precinct was moved to the Brooklyn detective squad — where he’ll remain on full duty — following the 2:20 p.m. Saturday brawl between cops and teenagers on the platform of the Jay Street-MetroTech station, according to law enforcement sources.
The officer has previously had multiple complaints filed with the Civilian Complaint Review Board. Some of those include the use of force — which contributed to the decision to reassign him, a source said.
Dramatic video from the incident shows officers from the 84th Precinct trying to cuff one of the teens as he appears to pull away.
Then one officer — the cop being transferred — runs up to a teen and punches him in the face, starting another brawl. Later, the officer can be seen throwing more punches.
Three teens were arrested in Saturday’s incident — one of whom was charged with assault on a police officer, cops have said.
Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams — a former NYPD officer — condemned the cop who threw punches, calling for him to be placed on modified duty while an investigation is carried out.
