Three NYPD detectives who tracked a sexual assault fugitive to South Carolina had enough time to enjoy the Palmetto State’s warm weather and barbeque, police said.
The Columbia Police Department posted a photo of the three detectives with Chief William Holbrook on Instagram Tuesday, hours after they arrested a suspected fiend who sexually assaulted a Queens woman.
“After being treated to a BBQ lunch, they met w/Chief & received CPD swag,” Columbia police captioned the photo.
They added the detectives were also “really enjoying the weather down here!”
The three detectives were in town to arrest Ronald Williams, 21, who allegedly violently attacked and sexually assaulted a 52-year-old woman in Kew Gardens after she dropped off her daughter at school on April 30.
Police sources told the Post that Williams allegedly hurt his victim so gravely that she could not speak to cops.
Williams was picked up by the NYPD at a motel in Columbia on Tuesday morning.
