A wayward goat got the kid glove treatment from cops Wednesday, when he wandered into somebody’s Queens backyard.
The animal, named Josh, whined and bleated while being cradled like a baby in the arms of an officer who came to his rescue, a video clip of the ordeal shows.
“It’s okay,” somebody assured the goat in the recording, which the NYPD tweeted on Friday. “He’s so cute,” the caring cop adds.
Accompanying the adorable clip, the tweet said, “There’s a new GOAT in town, and it’s not @TomBrady…”
“When @NYPD113Pct officers stumbled upon this crying kid, they knew exactly what to do! Josh is currently eating lots of hay with @NYCACC before he heads off to an animal sanctuary,” the tweet continued.
The police could not immediately say where the animal was found in Queens.
It’s also unclear where Josh came from, but he will live out his life at Skylands Sanctuary in New Jersey.
