BROOKLYN

* A man was arrested for pushing and threatening his roommate with a knife in their Sheepshead Bay apartment, authorities said yesterday.

Police sources said William Cleveland, 48, shoved the man into a table and tossed him to the floor in their Haring Street apartment at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Cleveland allegedly produced a knife, put it to the man’s throat and said, “Do you want to die?”

The victim suffered minor injuries and called police, who arrested Cleveland on charges of assault, menacing and weapons possession. It was not immediately clear what sparked the confrontation.

* An East Flatbush woman has been arrested for smashing another woman with a champagne bottle during an argument in a club, authorities said yesterday.

The violence began at 3:55 a.m. on March 14, when Hollie Samuels, 26, and her mother were attending a party with the 22-year-old victim in the club at 3411 Church Ave., law-enforcement sources said.

The mother directed the victim to dance somewhere else, and the young woman told her to relax. While the two exchanged words, Samuels approached with a champagne bottle and bashed the victim in the forehead with it, the sources said.

The victim was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where she received 15 stitches to close her wound. Samuels was caught Wednesday and charged with assault, menacing and weapons possession.

QUEENS

* A 26-year-old man was shot and critically wounded on a Jamaica street, cops said yesterday.

The victim, whose name was withheld, was shot in the chest at 163rd Street and Hillside Avenue at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The wounded man, who has a criminal record, was rushed to Mary Immaculate Hospital. The shooter, whose motive was unclear, fled.

MANHATTAN (lcf)

* Police yesterday asked the public’s assistance in locating a teenager who disappeared from her Harlem street last week.

Police said Ecksthine Berroa (above), 13, was last seen around 4:15 p.m. Friday near 1833 Amsterdam Ave.

She is described as 5-foot-3, weighing 90 pounds and was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.

Police did not release further details of the disappearance.

THE BRONX

* Three thugs stole hundred of dollars from two men at gunpoint during a carjacking in Morrisania, police sources said yesterday.

The unidentified men approached a car occupied by a 20-year-old man and a 26-year-old man at the corner of East 162nd Street and Courtlandt Avenue at about 4 p.m. Tuesday.

As one of the thugs pulled a gun, another said, “This is our block. You’ve been here a while. Give us the money and the car.”

The suspects then swiped about $500 from the two men, who got out of the car and ran away. The suspects then drove off in the car.

* Three gunmen ripped off more than $200 and several pieces of gold jewelry from a man during a home invasion in Unionport, police sources said yesterday.

The unidentified suspects forced their way into a basement apartment on Chatterton Avenue at about 1 a.m. Wednesday after the 35-year-old victim answered a knock at his door. When one of the assailants pulled a .45 automatic, the man tried to grab the gun way. That prompted another assailant to point a gun at the man and threaten to shoot him.

After demanding drugs and money, the thugs ransacked the apartment and fled with about $240 in cash, two gold chains, two gold rings, two cell-phones and the victim’s wallet. He was not hurt.

STATEN ISLAND

* A New Brighton man who was arrested for attacking his girlfriend was also charged with possession of a knife and drug paraphernalia, authorities said yesterday.

Police sources said Harry Tomlin, 47, slugged the 45-year-old woman in the chest in her residence on Hill Street in Clifton at about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police were called and found Tomlin with a folding knife and a crack pipe, sources said.

He was charged with attempted assault, harassment and criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to court records.

It was not immediately clear what sparked the alleged attack.
