BROOKLYN

* Police are investigating the murder of a Flatbush man outside his home.

Kian Beswick, 29, was shot to death in front of 2088 Nostrand Ave. around 10 p.m. Monday, cops said.

Beswick, who police said had a long arrest record, received a phone call luring him from his building, authorities said.

He was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said they have no suspects or motive.

STATEN ISLAND

* A Brooklyn man has been caught red-handed rummaging through a Woodrow couple’s mailbox, police sources said yesterday.

Grigol Rekhviashvili, 29, was searching a front-door mailbox when a police captain spotted him at 2:30 p.m. Monday, sources said.

Rekhviashvili, of Brooklyn, told the captain he was simply distributing supermarket fliers.

But cops quickly determined he was wanted for stealing credit and debit cards from mailboxes to make withdrawals from victims’ accounts, authorities said.

Rekhviashvili is charged with two counts of identity theft, two counts of grand larceny, two counts of criminal possession of stolen property and seven counts of petit larceny.

* An NYPD narcotics cop accidentally shot himself in the leg with his service weapon at an undisclosed police facility in Stapleton, authorities said yesterday.

The officer, whose name, age and rank were not released, wounded himself sometime during the midnight shift yesterday, police said.

He was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

QUEENS

* Apparent road rage got the best of a driver who beat another motorist with a shovel in Howard Beach, authorities said yesterday.

Anthony Salerno, 29, whacked a 20-year-old man with a metal shovel at 156th Avenue and 85th Street at 2:40 p.m. Monday after one driver cut the other off, police sources said.

The attacker allegedly got the shovel from the nearby home and hit the victim in the arms and abdomen.

The victim suffered multiple cuts and bruises but did not go to the hospital.

Salerno is charged with assault and harassment, and faces up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine, according to a spokeswoman for Queens DA Richard Brown.

* A Rockaway mother and her son were arrested after cops executed a search warrant at their home and discovered a small cache of weapons and drugs, police said.

Geraldine Blake, 62, and son Tobias, 26, were busted at about 8:20 a.m. when cops searched their fourth-floor apartment on Rockaway Beach Avenue.

They recovered a .40-caliber automatic firearm, a .45, a BB gun, bulletproof vest, 200 rounds of .45 ammunition, half a pound of pot and five ounces of cocaine, authorities said.

Cops said they took Geraldine to Peninsula General Hospital when she complained of chest pains.

Police said a tip led them to the Blakes’ door.

THE BRONX

* A 15-year-old Brooklyn boy was busted for robbing a Castle Hill supermarket last week, police sources said yesterday.

The teen, whose name was not released, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. Monday and charged with robbing the Cindy Market at 1152 Castle Hill Ave. at knifepoint around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, sources said.

While the youth held a blade to an employee’s throat, his accomplice – who is still at large – swiped $400 from a cash register, the sources said.

The youth is charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of weapons possession.
