* A suspect has been arrested in the “machete point” robbery of a man in Cobble Hill, authorities said yesterday.

Police sources said Robert Whitley, 27, brandished the blade when he confronted his 31-year- old victim at the corner of Hicks and Kane streets at 3 a.m. on April 28.

Whitley allegedly threatened the man with the machete and demanded money.

The victim handed $82 to Whitley, who then fled, according to cops.

After the victim notified cops, police put out a description of Whitley.

A short time later, two officers caught Whitley at Fulton and Smith streets. He was charged with robbery, menacing and weapons possession.

* A Manhattan man has been arrested for beating his girlfriend and stabbing her with a pen outside Brooklyn Supreme Court, authorities said yesterday.

Police sources said Jacob Santiago, 22, argued with the 24-year-old woman Thursday after she called him “nuts” and said she wanted to break up with him. He allegedly pummeled her in the face and used a pen to stab her in the head and neck. He then kicked her in the groin, sources said. Several witnesses restrained Santiago as the woman lost consciousness.

Police were called and arrested Santiago on charges of assault, menacing, harassment and weapons possession.

The woman was treated at Bellevue Hospital.

MANHATTAN

* A man was beaten and stabbed early yesterday when an argument erupted after a baby shower in Washington Heights, police sources said.

Amaury Sanchez, 22, was attacked at about 3:40 a.m. by several men in a West 179th Street apartment. They punched, kicked and stabbed him in the chest, cops said.

Police found Sanchez unconscious. He was rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital in stable condition.

Two people were later arrested. Darlis Beltran, 16 and Algenis Ramirez, 18, face assault and weapons charges, police said.

* A man was arrested for drug possession – after he was viciously beaten by a gang on the Lower East Side, authorities said yesterday.

Andre Scott, 25, was accosted by several unidentified men on Madison Street near Clinton Street at about 4 a.m. Saturday, sources said.

He was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he was treated for a broken cheek bone and cuts.

When cops arrived at the hospital, they found Scott in possession of a quantity of drugs and arrested him, officials said.

It was not immediately clear what type of drugs he allegedly had.

QUEENS

* A suspect was arrested early yesterday for a sexual attack on a 16-year- old acquaintance in the Bayswater section of Far Rockaway, authorities said yesterday.

Lancelot Verwayne, 42, surrendered to police at about 12:30 a.m. and was charged with rape, sodomy and sexual abuse.

According to authorities, the victim was in her bedroom at about 7 a.m. on April 20 when Verwayne walked in and began hugging and kissing her. Verwayne, who is dating the victim’s sister, then allegedly fondled the girl’s breasts and yanked her pants down.

He then raped and sodomized her, cops said.

* One of five attackers was arrested for brutally beating two young men outside a Woodhaven nightclub, authorities said yesterday.

The 20-year-old victims were walking to their vehicle outside the club at 88-26 Jamaica Ave. at about 4:15 a.m. Saturday when five men approached and got into an argument with them.

The assailants struck the victims with a metal object for reasons that remain unclear.

The victims were rushed to Jamaica Hospital, where one of them underwent brain surgery.

Both victims were listed in stable condition.

Police arrested Michael Jagmohan, 22, and charged him with assault. His alleged accomplices were still being sought.

* A landlord made a grisly discovery yesterday when he stumbled on a dead man with apparent gunshot wounds in a Tremont apartment, cops said.

The body of Rahkeim Robinson, 23, was discovered at about 3:30 p.m. inside a vacant apartment at 1756 Topping Ave.

Police, who were awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death, said Robinson had one marijuana arrest on his record.
