BROOKLYN
* A suspect was arrested for beating and robbing a man in Bedford-Stuyvesant, authorities said yesterday.
Sources said James Williams, 34, confronted his 50-year-old victim at Lafayette and Classon avenues about 3:18 a.m. Wednesday.
Williams allegedly put a razor blade to the man’s neck and took $20.
He then knocked down the victim with a punch to the face, sources said.
The victim called cops, who found Williams and arrested him after a struggle.
He was charged with robbery, assault, menacing and resisting arrest.
The victim suffered cuts and bruises.
* Police yesterday identified a Maryland man found shot to death and stuffed inside the trunk of a Mercedes-Benz in Canarsie.
Antoine Arrington, 36, of Baltimore, was found with a gunshot to the head in the trunk of a 2000 Benz at East 95th Street and Avenue M about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, cops said.
Passers-by contacted police after smelling a foul odor.
Authorities said Arrington had drug arrests in Kentucky, Maryland and New York.
Police were searching for a suspect and a motive.
* A 19-year-old man was arrested for beating and raping his ex-girlfriend in Brownsville, authorities said yesterday.
Clarence Davis approached the 19-year- old victim near Broadway and Aberdeen Street at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday, sources said.
Davis allegedly twisted her arms, choked her and hit her in the face.
He then allegedly made her perform oral sex, then tore off her pants and put her up against a wall.
Then he banged her head against the wall and raped her, sources said.
Davis released the victim after she told him she wouldn’t tell of the assault.
But the victim told police, who arrested Davis that day on charges of rape, criminal sexual act and assault.
MANHATTAN
* The body of a man was pulled from the Hudson River near 79th Street yesterday, cops said.
Police received a 911 call at about 1:15 p.m. and arrived at 79th and Riverside Drive, where they spotted the body floating in the water.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
* A black woman was slashed in the face by a white man after he spewed racial insults at her in the Herald Square subway station, cops said yesterday.
The incident, which police deemed a possible bias case, took place about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday as the suspect and two white women bumped into the 22-year-old victim and her friend as both parties entered station at 34th Street.
An argument ensued in which the suspect hurled racial epithets at the victim, sources said.
He then pulled a sharp object and slashed the victim in the face.
The suspect fled with his companions. The victim went to Bellevue Hospital for treatment. (m)
STATEN ISLAND
* A 24-year-old man was arrested after he stole a car, crashed into a bus and sped away from police before being captured in Stapleton, police sources said yesterday.
Sources said Allan Marino was driving in a stolen Toyota at Occident and Saint Pauls avenues, where the vehicle slammed into an Access-A-Ride bus, which shuttles disabled people.
Authorities said the accident resulted in more than $1,500 in damage to both vehicles.
Police arrived as Marino sped away, passing two school buses carrying full passenger loads.
Police caught Marino nearby and charged him with reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and grand larceny. No injuries were reported.
* A suspect has been arrested for scratching and shoving a woman in Livingston, court records show.
Carson Richardson, 46, allegedly dug his fingernails into the woman’s face and pushed her to the ground at North Burgher Avenue near Richmond Terrace about 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The victim suffered facial scratches.
Richardson was arrested that day and charged with assault.
It was unclear what sparked the confrontation or if the two knew each other.
* A woman was arrested yesterday for stabbing her boyfriend in Stapleton, police sources said yesterday.
Penny Pless, 41, allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the boyfriend in the left shoulder at Warren Street near Gordon Street about 1 p.m.
Pless was charged with assault and menacing.
The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
It was not immediately clear what sparked the violence.
QUEENS
* A woman was found dead of a possible drug overdose in an Oakland Gardens apartment building, authorities said yesterday.
The 46-year-old woman, whose name was not immediately released, was discovered in the building at 219-71 67th Ave. about 3 p.m.
