QUEENS (m)
* A newborn boy was found inside a duffel bag on a Ridgewood stoop, police said.
The infant, described only as Hispanic, was found conscious and breathing in a black canvas bag by a homeowner on DeKalb Avenue, cops said.
The infant was rushed to Wyckoff Hospital, where he was listed in serious but stable condition.
Police were searching for a 5-foot-tall Hispanic woman in connection with the case.
MANHATTAN
* The fully clad body of a man – an apparent suicide – was pulled from New York Harbor yesterday morning near the New Jersey shoreline, police sources said.
The victim was described as in his mid-30s, about 6 feet tall, 270 pounds, with brown hair and a goatee and wearing gray sweat pants, a white T-shirt and black sneakers.
His body was pulled from the waters near Hoboken around 11 a.m., but the case will be investigated by the NYPD, which has jurisdiction over harbor waters.
BROOKLYN
* A man was arrested for swiping a woman’s gold chain after trying to push her onto the tracks in a Flatbush subway station, authorities said yesterday.
Sources said Terrence Moore, 36, confronted the 39-year-old woman on a platform of the D-line station at Parkside Avenue about 2 p.m. last Friday.
Moore then allegedly pointed what appeared to be a gun at the woman and demanded cash.
A struggle ensued in which Moore tried to shove the woman onto the tracks but instead pushed her to the ground.
He then allegedly snatched the gold necklace from around her neck and fled.
The woman, who suffered minor injuries, reported the incident to police and ID’d Moore in a photo array.
Moore was arrested on Wednesday and charged with assault, menacing and robbery.
* A suspect was arrested for hitting a woman in the head with a soft-drink can after she served him with an order of protection in Coney Island, authorities said yesterday.
The incident began at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday at Stillwell and Surf avenues, where the 24-year-old woman served Bernard Fran, 29, with the papers on behalf of his ex-girlfriend, sources said.
It was not immediately clear if the document-server was an attorney.
After Fran tossed the papers to the ground, the woman picked them up and handed them back to him, the sources said.
Fran allegedly spewed obscenities at the woman, then approached his ex-girlfriend, who was nearby, and tried to talk to her.
But both women got into a car and began driving away.
Fran jumped into a Ford Aerostar and pursued the car, hurling a can at the woman who served him the legal papers and hitting her in the cheekbone, sources said.
Police arrested Fran on charges of criminal contempt, assault and weapons possession.
* A man shot himself in the chest on a Marine Park street in an apparent suicide, authorities said.
The body of Martin Pearl of East 27th Street was found by cops at 6:46 a.m. at East 32nd Street and Avenue S.
A handgun was found next to him. The medical examiner termed the case a suicide.
THE BRONX
* A gang threatened a teen with a knife and stole his wallet and cellphone in a Melrose subway station, police sources said yesterday.
About 10 unidentified men confronted the 19-year-old man in the East 167th Street station on the D line.
One of the suspects wrapped his arms around the teen’s shoulders, put a knife to his throat and demanded cash.
Another suspect then went through the teen’s pockets, removing his cellphone and his wallet containing about $30.
After taking the money, the suspect tossed the wallet at the teen and fled the station with his accomplices.
* A man has been arrested in a fatal shooting in Claremont, police sources said yesterday.
Daniel Bostick, 25, was apprehended about 6 p.m. Wednesday and charged with murder and weapons possession, the sources said.
According to authorities, Bostick shot Melvin Cherry, 37, in the head at Webster Avenue near East 170th Street on Nov. 29.
Cherry later died from his injuries. It was unclear what sparked the violence.
* A woman was hospitalized after a bullet fragment hit her in the head in Morrisania, police sources said yesterday.
About 10 p.m. Wednesday, the 39-year-old woman heard gunshots and dashed into a building on East 163rd Street, where she realized she was bleeding from the head.
The victim was rushed to Lincoln Hospital, where it was determined a bullet fragment had entered her scalp, but did not pierce her skull.
She was listed in stable condition. Police were searching for a suspect and a motive.
* Police arrested a homeless man early yesterday after a shootout in Norwood.
Two cops on patrol at 1:27 a.m. saw Byron Barriteau, 27, with a gun in his waistband at East 212th Street and DeKalb Avenue, police sources said.
As they approached him, Barriteau allegedly pulled the gun and fired a shot at the officers, missing them.
The cops chased Barriteau to the front of a nearby apartment building, where the suspect again allegedly raised his weapon.
One of the officers allegedly fired two rounds at Barriteau, but did not hit him.
Barriteau then ran into the building, where police arrested him without incident. Charges were pending.
STATEN ISLAND
* A 17-year-old girl was arrested for attacking three school safety agents in a St. George high school, courts records show.
The suspect, Kenya Taylor, allegedly bit one safety agent on the chest at McKee HS, at 290 St. Marks Place, about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to a criminal complaint.
Taylor allegedly slugged a second safety agent in the face and kicked a third in the chest.
Taylor, whose motive was unknown, was charged with assault, attempted assault and harassment.
The victims suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.
