*** A homeless man crossing a Central Park roadway was critically injured yesterday morning when he was struck by a bicyclist, police said.

The mishap occurred at 7 a.m. when a man between 40 and 50 years old, crossing at East 74th Street and the East Drive inside the park, was struck by a bicyclist whose name was not released.

The injured man was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital with head trauma, sources said.

There were no summonses issued in the incident.

BROOKLYN

*** The paroled boyfriend of a woman who was stabbed to death has been charged with her murder, police said yesterday.

James Haney, 41, has been charged with murder and weapons possession in connection with Thursday’s early-morning slaying of Delissa Reel, 35, inside 772 Quincy St., police said.

Reel was stabbed during a dispute that erupted at 4:25 a.m. and died of her wounds about 45 minutes later at Kings County Hospital.

Haney did 15 years of a robbery sentence before being paroled in October 2003, according to state records, and surrendered to his parole officer at 1 p.m. Friday.

It was not clear what sparked the violence between the couple.

*** A white youth was arrested in Sheepshead Bay for assaulting a Hispanic teenager in what was described as a possible bias attack, police said.

Charles Tabona, 17, was charged with assault and resisting arrest in connection with the 10:30 p.m. Friday attack that occurred at East First Street and Avenue X, police said.

Tabona allegedly confronted a 19-year-old Hispanic whom he did not know and made comments questioning why the man was in “his neighborhood,” which is predominantly white.

The victim, who was not identified, was taken to Coney Island Hospital where he was in stable condition and being treated for head lacerations.

Tabona was arrested after cops canvassed the area of the attack. Bail was set at $30,000.

*** A missing Clinton Hill man was found yesterday in a Brooklyn hospital after police and family had spent a week searching for him.

Musician Charles Stephens, 59, had a seizure and fell, hitting his head near East 27th Street in Brooklyn on Aug. 5, friends said.

The jazz trombonist has been in Downstate Medical Center the entire week, but hospital officials did not notify his family or police, despite the fact that he had identification on him, friends said.

Stephens required emergency brain surgery and is listed in critical condition, friends said.

*** A 35-year-old woman was found stabbed and seriously injured in Bushwick yesterday morning, police said.

The victim, whose name was not released, was found lying injured in front of 1438 Broadway at 11:25 a.m. with stab wounds to her neck and upper torso, police said.

She was taken to Bushwick Hospital, where detectives were hoping to interview her after her condition stabilized.

Neighborhood sources said the victim was a longtime prostitute known as Strawberry, who had plied her trade in the area and was only recently released from Rikers Island.

She had completed a drug-rehabilitation program Friday, the sources said.

THE BRONX

*** A dispute between two groups of youths in Morris Heights early yesterday resulted in two people being stabbed, one of them fatally, police said.

The confrontation erupted about 2:55 a.m., at 1265 E.L. Grant Highway and ended a short time later with Scarly Gomez, 24, being rushed to Bronx Lebanon Hospital, where he was declared dead.

A second youth, whose age and name were not released, was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where his injuries were not considered life-threatening.

It was unclear what provoked the hostilities between the groups and detectives were investigating.
