THE BRONX
* A man was struck and killed by a subway train at the No. 5 station at Pelham Parkway yesterday, police said.
The victim was described as 35 to 40 years old.
Police sources said the incident, which occurred at 1:06 p.m., appeared to be a suicide.
* A man in his 20s was shot in the leg early yesterday at the corner of East Tremont and Westchester avenues in the Westchester Square area, police said.
After the 5:45 a.m. shooting, the man drove himself to Albert Einstein Hospital, cops said.
The man, who was not identified, has not been cooperative, police said. No weapon has been recovered.
BROOKLYN
* A man was shot in the leg in East New York early yesterday, police said.
The victim, 32, was walking past a group of men near 124 Van Siclen Ave. when he heard a gunshot and felt a pain in his right ankle.
After the shot was fired, the crowd of men quickly dispersed. The victim was treated the scene. Police were searching for the gunman.
* A teenage boy was shot in the leg in Sunset Park, and his assailant, also a teen, was charged with assault, police said yesterday.
The 15-year-old victim was walking near the corner of 34th Street and Third Avenue at about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday when he was wounded.
He was treated for his wound at Methodist Hospital and released.
Later, police arrested another 15-year-old boy and charged him as a juvenile with assault.
The shooting resulted from an ongoing dispute between the two teens, cops said.
QUEENS
* A Pennsylvania man was arrested in Jackson Heights on weapons-possession charges, police said yesterday.
Gang detectives on 95th Street near Roosevelt Avenue noticed a mysterious bulge in the clothing of Alberto Rodriguez of East Stroudsberg, Pa., at around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
They stopped him and frisked him, and discovered he was carrying a .38-caliber gun, cops said.
Rodriguez, whose age was not released, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
STATEN ISLAND (m)
* The badly decomposed body of a 27-year-old man was found yesterday in a wooded area of the Willowbrook section.
The grim discovery was made at 12:55 p.m. across from a synagogue at 835 Forest Hill Road, near the intersection with Willowbrook Road.
The victim’s head was detached. His identity was not released.
The city medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
