*** A Melrose man found mortally injured at the foot a stairway at his home was pushed to his death, officials said.

Ruben Valentin, 41, was found at 11:50 p.m. Oct. 11 at 1229 Franklin Ave., lying on the ground at the bottom of a steep flight of stairs with serious head, hip and stomach injuries, police said.

Police did not learn of the incident until two days later, by which time Valentine had already died of his injuries.

On Friday, the city medical examiner declared the death a homicide, and concluded he’d been pushed.

*** Two men robbed a worker at a Parkchester gas station at gunpoint, police said yesterday.

The incident occurred at 8:50 p.m. Friday, when Salaheddin Jamal, 51, was accosted inside an Exxon station at 1885 Westchester Ave.

The gunman walked behind the counter and ordered Jamal to open the register while his accomplice stood watch, police said.

After getting an undetermined amount of cash, both men fled.

Both men were said to be between 6-feet and 6-feet-3, wearing dark clothing and approximately 35- to 40-years- old, police said.

BROOKLYN

*** The manager of a Brownsville laundry and a customer were both arrested on assault charges after police broke up their fight involving a bat and a knife, cops said.

Angel Sotomajour, 28, manager of a laundry at 75 Ralph Ave., and customer Elias Montalvo, 28, were taken into custody after cops were called to halt a battle at the store at around 12:45 a.m. Thursday.

Officials were unable to say what sparked the squabble, but each suspect blamed the other.

The cops took both men into custody on menacing, harassment and weapons charges.

*** A woman living in a city shelter in Williams burg was arrested for slashing a Long Island man in the face and stealing his debit card after he gave her a ride into Brooklyn on July 3, police said yesterday.

Yolanda Fisher, 32, was slapped with assault, petit-larceny and robbery charges 12:30 p.m. Thursday when cops located her in a shelter at 211 Union Ave.

When the man dropped Fisheroff in front of 120 Moore St., she allegedly pulled out a boxcutter and slashed his face and chest.

She then demanded his debit card and later withdrew $400 at a nearby bank, cops said.

On Thursday, the NYPD got a tip on her whereabouts and arrested her, authorities said.

MANHATTAN

*** Two ski-masked bandits robbed two customers at an Inwood bodega at gunpoint early yesterday, before waltzing off with a cash-laden ATM in a handcart, police said.

The derring-do occurred at 4:20 a.m., when the thieves entered a bodega at 165 Sherman Ave.

One of the men was armed with a gun and the other was wheeling a handcart, sources said.

After duct-taping two employees, and robbing two customers the thieves placed the machine on the cart and fled.

STATEN ISLAND

*** An unidentified loudmouth was arrested for harassing a bus driver and several passengers as he rode a city bus in Arrochar, authorities said yesterday.

The bus driver called police at 10 p.m. Thursday after the man screamed threats at him and touched passengers on the bus, authorities said.

Cops removed the man from the bus at Lily Pond and Major avenues and charged him under the name “John Doe.”

The man, believed to be about 35, is charged with three counts of false impersonation and one count of disorderly conduct.
