BROOKLYN
* A Brownsville man was shot dead by two gunmen early yesterday as he sat in a vehicle at a red light, police said.
Lovell Moody, 27, was heading to a store while sitting in the passenger’s seat of the auto at the corner of Graham Avenue and Maujer Street at about 12:50 a.m., cops said.
Suddenly, two assailants approached the vehicle with guns drawn and opened fire, hitting Moody once in the head.
Moody was found nearby, at Meserole Street and Manhattan Avenue, and rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he died about two hours later.
* A 14-year-old girl said she was molested and sodomized by three thugs who forced her into a vehicle in Kensington, authorities said yesterday.
The teenager told cops that three unidentified men pulled her inside a gray-and-tan SUV at Cortelyou and Westminster roads at about 11 p.m. on Dec. 30.
One of the suspects yanked down her pants and sexually abused her, another suspect then allegedly forced her to perform oral sex on him while the third assailant acted as a lookout. The thugs then kicked her out of the vehicle and fled, she told police.
* A gun-toting thief made off with $400 when she robbed a Midwood bank, police said yesterday.
The suspect walked into the Washington Mutual Bank branch at 1101 Avenue J at about 5 p.m. on Friday, sources said. He whipped out a silver handgun and ordered the bank employee to give her cash without setting off any alarms, police said.
The teller handed over cash along with a dye-pack security device, sources said. The thief fled and discarded the dye pack, which was found outside the bank.
THE BRONX
* A man was found dead outside his Allerton apartment building, police said yesterday.
The victim, 36, whose name was not released, was found lying face-down on the ground outside 3212 Cruger Ave. at about 10:40 a.m. on Sunday, cops said.
Police said he had trauma to the back of his head and he appeared to have committed suicide.
MANHATTAN
* Cops are investigating an alleged sexual assault on woman at a Harlem apartment complex.
The 24-year-old said she was attacked in a stairwell of the Riverside Park Community complex at Broadway and 135th Street.
Kenneth Glover, who heads security there, said he was unaware of the alleged incident and said he had not been contacted about it by authorities.
Prince Alarape, who runs the complex’s tenants’ association, also said he knew nothing of the alleged attack.
Police sources said the woman was developmentally disabled. (s, lcf)
* An anonymous tip led cops to a man who unsuccessfully tried to hold up a Midtown bank last week, police said yesterday.
Angelo Manegra, 21, was busted inside a homeless shelter at 120 E. 32nd St. at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, cops said.
Manegra allegedly demanded cash at a Valley National Bank branch at 295 Fifth Ave. at 3:04 p.m. on Dec. 27, sources said.
Rather than comply with Manegra’s commands, the teller walked away and told a supervisor, authorities said. Manegra slinked out of the bank and fled, but was captured after police released his picture, which appeared in last Saturday’s Post.
* Two men have been arrested in connection with the shooing death of a Bronx man on a Harlem street corner early Sunday, police said yesterday.
Marlon Soberanis, 40, allegedly shot Roland Gibson, 34 – originally identified as Eric Card – four times in the neck, shoulder and armpit after the two got into an argument over money at West 124th Street and Lenox Avenue at around 2:30 a.m., cops said.
A friend of Gibson’s took him to Harlem Hospital, where he died 90 minutes later.
Soberanis fled the scene and went to Brookdale Hospital, in Brooklyn, where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the hand he received during the gun battle with Gibson, police said.
Cops were called to the hospital. After interviewing Soberanis and his pals, they connected him to Gibson’s shooting and charged Soberanis with murder.
A second man, 27-year-old Kevin Parks, was arrested and charged with weapons possession after witnesses told cops he swiped the guns Gibson and Soberanis allegedly used in the shootout.
* A man was found clinging to life inside an East Harlem building, authorities said yesterday.
The victim, described only as a man in his 20s, was found suffering from head trauma on the third floor of 1735 Madison Ave., at about 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, cops said.
He was rushed to Harlem Hospital, where he was in critical condition.
It was not clear how the man received the injuries, but police said the wound appeared to be the result of being hit in the head with a blunt object.
