*** (lcf) A deranged man slashed a cop with a large hunting knife in Bath Beach after asking him for directions, police said.

The man lunged at the officer, who was alone on scooter patrol on Bath and 14th avenues, and slashed his arm several times.

Cops don’t know what prompted the attack.

The 62nd Precinct officer was being treated at Lutheran Hospital for injuries described as non-life threatening.

The attacker fled on foot and cops searched for him using bloodhounds and helicopters. He was described as a dark-skinned, Hispanic, about 5-foot 5-inches and wearing a blue shirt with a white logo and blue jeans.

*** A woman threatened another bar patron with a knife and then a week later slashed a tire on that woman’s SUV in Bedford-Stuyvesant, authorities said yesterday.

The first incident occurred at about noon on June 17, when Janet Nieves, 41, got into a heated argument with her 47-year-old victim in a tavern on Tompkins Avenue, sources said.

Nieves allegedly pulled a knife, menaced the victim and fled.

Then, at 1:15 a.m. Monday, a cop on patrol saw Nieves walking with a tissue-wrapped knife in her hand at Tompkins Avenue and Vermont Street, the sources said.

Nieves walked up to the victim’s Ford Explorer and slashed the passenger-side front tire, sources said.

She then crossed the street and tried to hand the knife to someone, who refused to take it.

A police officer grabbed Nieves, who was charged with menacing, harassment, criminal mischief and weapons possession.

*** A subway masher was arrested for slashing a good Samaritan who came to the aid of a woman the suspect was harassing in East New York, authorities said yesterday.

Charles Kelly, 53, was hassling a woman aboard an A train entering the Broadway Junction station at 10:30 p.m. Monday, sources said.

A fellow passenger, 55, shouted at Kelly to stop, sources said, and the suspect waved a pocketknife and threatened to cut the good Samaritan’s throat.

He then slashed at the man, cutting him in the leg as the train came to a halt in the station, sources said.

Police arrested Kelly nearby. The injured man was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he received 13 stitches.

*** A teenage girl was busted in Bay Ridge for beating and robbing a woman she accused of trying to steal her boyfriend, authorities said yesterday.

Jahannes Polanco, 16, repeatedly punched the 19-year-old victim in the face after confronting her on 80th Street near Sixth Avenue at 2:30 a.m. on June 17, sources said.

Polanco allegedly smashed the victim’s face against the hood of a parked vehicle, knocking her cellphone to the ground, and then scooped up the phone and swiped the woman’s wallet containing her New York State ID card, Social Security card and $60, sources said.

Polanco fled, and the victim called cops. Police searched the neighborhood, but couldn’t find the suspect.

Then, on June 20, Polanco sent the victim a threatening e-mail. “You’re not getting your cellphone back,” she wrote. “I broke it when you walked away. I will beat you up again.”

Six days later, Polanco was arrested and charged with assault, menacing, robbery and aggravated harassment.

*** Five thieves stole a Porsche from a parking garage in the Meatpacking District, authorities said yesterday.

The unidentified suspects accosted a 46-year-old male attendant at 4:10 a.m. in the garage on Eighth Avenue at 14th Street.

They forced the man into a booth and, from a wall rack, snatched a key to the black 2004 sports car.

One of the thieves sped off in the car, heading west on 14th Street.

His cohorts may have fled in their own vehicle, a black Cadillac Escalade.

*** A drunken driver threatened to kill her husband after he told police that while under the influence she drove their three kids around in an SUV, authorities said yesterday.

Samantha Nash-Salomons, 36, drove her children back to their home in a 1998 Chevrolet Suburban on Bard Avenue and Rokeby Place in Livingston at 5:09 p.m. Monday, sources said.

Her husband called cops after he said he noticed she had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and reeked of booze, sources said.

Police checked her license and learned it had been suspended after she pleaded guilty in April to driving while impaired.

She was arrested after she threatened to kill her husband and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, harassment and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, said a spokesman for DA Daniel Donovan.

*** A thief ripped off hundreds of dollars in cash and a computer after breaking into a West Brighton restaurant, authorities said yesterday.

James O’Connor allegedly hurled a rock through the window of Nucci’s Italian Restaurant on Forest Avenue near Pelton Avenue at 2:30 a.m. on June 13, sources said.

O’Connor allegedly climbed inside the eatery, stole more than $350 from two cash registers and fled.

Cops tracked down O’Connor and arrested him Monday. He was charged with burglary, grand larceny and criminal mischief, said a DA spokesman.

*** A teenager was arrested in Rosebank after destroying property and attacking a police officer, authorities said yesterday.

The trouble began at 8:15 p.m. on June 13, when Ardwok Gamboa, 18, argued with his father in their Clifton Avenue home near Tompkins Avenue, sources said.

Gamboa started slamming doors and putting holes in the walls. He also allegedly put his fist through a glass door pane, broke a stereo system and damaged a gate.

His father called 911. As Gamboa was being cuffed, he kicked an officer in the groin, sources said.

He was charged with assault, criminal mischief and resisting arrest, said a spokesman for DA Daniel Donovan.

*** Four men were arrested after they tried to break into a Rosebank cellphone store, authorities said yesterday.

Malcolm Ntuli, 19, Terry Skinner, 19, Edward Willis, 21, and Sir Lazarus Middlebrooks, 24, used bolt cutters to bust through a security gate outside Wireless Communications on Bay Street and Hylan Boulevard at 3:20 a.m. Monday, sources said.

They then smashed the storefront window. A witness saw the incident and called 911.
