MANHATTAN

* An 87-year-old man was robbed in Peter Cooper Village, police said.

The victim, whose name was withheld, was walking through grounds of the upscale development on the East Side at 2:00 p.m., when the thug (pictured above) pushed him to the ground and took his money and credit cards. He suffered minor injuries. (lcf)

* A teenager was shot dead early yesterday on a Washington Heights street, police said.

The 19-year-old man, whose name withheld pending family notification, was hit with several bullets at West 182nd Street and Audubon Avenue.

Cops do not know who attacked the victim or what triggered the violence.

STATEN ISLAND

* A man in military fatigues was arrested after carjacking the car of an acquaintance at knifepoint in Bay Terrace, authorities said yesterday.

Anthony Bratvold, 27, jumped into the passenger’s seat of the 39-year-old victim’s Buick on Bartow Street near South Railroad Avenue at 4:30 p.m. last Wednesday, sources said.

Bratvold, who allegedly flashed a folding knife and demanded cash forced his acquaintance out of the vehicle. He then drove the victim’s car around for two hours before abandoning it nearby on Olympia Boulevard.

The victim found the car, which sustained $1,100 in damages that included a shattered back windshield, four flat tires and a broken radio.

Bratvold was captured Saturday and charged with robbery, grand larceny, weapons possession and criminal mischief, according to a spokesman for DA Daniel Donovan.

THE BRONX

* An off-duty FDNY firefighter was arrested on an assault charge after what cops described to be a domestic incident.

Richard Batista will also be suspended from the department, said an FDNY spokesman. He has been a firefighter for nearly six years and is assigned to Engine 76 on West 100th Street in Manhattan. (lcf)

* A drunken man was declared brain-dead after he was found unconscious on a Morris Heights street, authorities said yesterday.

The unidentified victim, in his 30s, was found at Grand Avenue and West 174th Street on Monday evening and rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, police said.

A witness claimed a child on a bicycle pushed the victim, who fell to the ground.

QUEENS

* A 51-year-old man was killed last night when he apparently jumped in front of a subway train, police said.

The victim, whose name was withheld pending family notification, placed his wallet on the platform of the Union Turnpike station in Kew Gardens just before 8 p.m., and then jumped in front of a Manhattan-bound F Train, authorities said. (lcf)

* A 20-year-old man was arrested for molesting a 6-year-old acquaintance in the Long Island City home where they live, authorities said yesterday.

José Matamoros, 20, was charged with aggravated sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child, said a spokeswoman for DA Richard Brown.

* Four thugs were arrested in South Ozone Park for threatening a man with a gun, authorities said yesterday.

Suspects Rishi Sahadeo, 20, Donta Richardson, 24, Muneshwar Budhu, 19, and Mark Naraine, 19, got into a heated argument with the 44-year-old victim at his house on 129th Street near 135th Avenue at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

The suspects left, then returned, and Sahadeo allegedly pointed a gun at the victim’s face and fired three shots into the air. Sahadeo and his cohorts then drive off.

Police stopped their car on 121st Street and found a .38-caliber pistol and a 9-mm rifle inside.

The four suspects were charged with criminal possession of a weapon. Sahadeo was also hit with a reckless-endangerment rap.

BROOKLYN

* The body of a middle-aged man with a head injury was found in a Brighton Beach apartment, police said yesterday.

Police received a call of an unconscious man at 6:41 p.m. Monday, went to the Brighton 15th Street home and discovered the body of the 47-year-old man.

The victim, whose name was not released pending family notification, was pronounced dead at the scene.

* Cops yesterday identified a man fatally shot outside a Bedford-Stuyvesant apartment building.

Anedrell Napper, 21, and a 23-year-old acquaintance were standing outside the Throop Avenue building near Myrtle Avenue when at least two assailants stepped up and one started blasting away at 10:06 p.m. Monday, cops said.

Napper was hit in the head and died later at Bellevue Hospital, police said.

The other victim was struck in the leg and listed in stable condition.
