QUEENS

* Two thugs were arrested for attacking and robbing a couple on an Astoria street, authorities said yesterday.

Angelo Pasquariello, 26, and Antonietta Pasquariello, 16, accosted the husband and wife on Broadway and 35th Street at about 1:20 a.m. Sunday, sources said.

The suspects allegedly beat the husband unconscious, then stole his wallet, containing money and an ATM card.

The thieves then pummeled the woman, snatched her pocketbook and fled.

Police charged the two with assault and robbery, a spokeswoman for Queens DA Richard Brown said. The victims suffered injuries deemed non-life threatening.

Police said the suspects are related, but would not say how.

* Two cops were hurt yesterday when their patrol car collided with a pickup truck in Jamaica, sending the cruiser careening through a metal gate and onto the lawn of a home, authorities said. No one was the house at the time of the 3:30 p.m. accident at 119th Avenue and Guy Brewer Boulvevard.

The officers were released after treatment at Jamaica Hospital.The driver of the pickup suffered a head injury. (lcf)

* Two men were caught in the crossfire when thugs exchanged gunshots on a College Point street Sunday night, police said yesterday.

A 27-year-old man and a 17-year-old teen were struck, apparently by the same bullet, on College Point Boulevard, sources said. It was not immediately known what prompted the fight or who fired the shots.

The victims were in stable condition.

* A drunken driver was arrested after crashing in Howard Beach, authorities said yesterday.

Dhandeo Dhanraj, 56, slammed his 2006 Toyota 4 Runner into another car at South Conduit Avenue and 89th Street about 1 a.m. Sunday, police said.

When Dhanraj was taken to a nearby hospital, he refused to take a blood test, sources said.

He was later charged with DUI, according to a spokeswoman for DA Richard Brown.

BROOKLYN

* A Bedford-Stuyvesant woman was arrested for slashing her daughter and destroying possessions, including a $3,000 laptop, authorities said yesterday.

The attack began at about 11:20 p.m. Saturday, when Joyce Earlington, 55, used a spare key to enter her daughter’s apartment in the house they share on Monroe Street near Nostrand Avenue, sources said.

Earlington confronted her 27-year-old daughter with a kitchen knife, then allegedly smashed the computer and broke a leather barstool before slashing the woman on her face and hand.

The daughter suffered minor injuries. Earlington was charged with assault, menacing, criminal mischief and weapons possession.

* Police are searching for two gun-toting thieves who broke into an East Flatbush apartment early yesterday, law-enforcement officials said.

The 30-year-old victim, whose name was withheld, woke up to glass shattering in his East 58th Street home at about 2 a.m., cops said.

Then he spotted two men holding guns and rummaging through the apartment, police said. The bandits ran out with an undisclosed amount of cash and jewelry.

STATEN ISLAND

* A woman was arrested after allegedly stealing several pieces of jewelry from an Arlington department store, investigators said yesterday.

Cops caught Valentina Kaferi, 32, shortly after she took two rings, two bracelets, a pair of earrings and a necklace from Kohl’s at Forest Avenue on Sunday afternoon, sources said.

Kaferi was charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

* Police are investigating a burglary in Chelsea, law-enforcement sources said yesterday.

A store owner noticed the front-door lock and safe were broken when he went to open his Chucky-Cheese restaurant at South Avenue at 7 a.m. Saturday, police said.

An undisclosed amount of cash was missing from the safe, police added.

* A 36-year-old man was charged with DUI after cops spotted him driving erratically, according to the Staten Island District Attorney’s Office. Matthew Boykin was pulled over at 11:15 p.m. Saturday at South and Forest avenues in Arlington.

THE BRONX

* Police arrested a suspect yesterday in a High Bridge murder after a three-month search, authorities said.

Lenny Cubilette, 20, allegedly shot and killed Cesar Betances on July 30 at Anderson Avenue and East 162nd Street – several blocks from the suspect’s home.

Bullets started flying as the 24-year-old victim left a party with his stepfather, Leona Armanza, and a 15-year-old friend, who were also shot, police said.

Armanza and the teen, whose name was not released, were both released after treatment.

Cubilette was charged with murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon. Police would not disclose the motive.
