QUEENS

* A drunken driver struck and critically injured a woman in East Elmhurst, police said.

The suspect, Carlos Gil, 44, was driving a 2001 Dodge Caravan on 25th Avenue near 77th Street when he hit the 52-year-old woman shortly before midnight, cops said.

The victim was in critical condition at Elmhurst Hospital. Gil, who lives nearby, was arrested at the scene.

* A man was arrested for savagely attacking an acquaintance in Far Rockaway.

Christopher Zampino, 23, had been arguing with a 25-year-old man on Beach 84th Street near Beach Channel Drive at 11:30 a.m. last Sunday, cops said.

He picked up a metal pipe and smashed the man in the head, then got behind the wheel of his car, backed up and ran the man over with such force that the vehicle’s windshield caved in, according to court papers.

Zampino was arrested near the scene.

The victim was hospitalized, but his condition wasn’t revealed. Authorities did not disclose a motive for the attack.

* A man was robbed when he tried to buy a used car in Springfield Gardens.

Kambi Lee, 24, offered to sell a 23-year-old man his BMW for $6,000, cops said.

The two men met at noon on Oct. 26 at 130th Avenue and Bedell Street to complete the deal, sources said.

Lee was sitting behind the wheel and the other man in the passenger seat, the sources said.

When the victim handed Lee $6,000 in cash, Lee pulled a gun and told the guy to get out, then drove off, authorities said.

Lee was arrested Wednesday.

* A man was arrested after he punched a traffic agent in the face and broke the agent’s car-registration scanner in Flushing, police said.

Michael Megaloudis, 54, was sitting in a double-parked car at College Point Boulevard and Avery Avenue last Saturday when the agent approached, police said.

As the agent started to write a ticket, Megaloudis tore the scanner from his hand and punched him in the face, cops said.

MANHATTAN

* Cops are hunting the Chelsea bank robber pictured above.

The suspect walked into the Northeast Community branch on West 23rd Street near Eighth Avenue shortly before noon Wednesday and demanded money from a teller, sources said.

He escaped with an undisclosed sum of cash.

STATEN ISLAND

* A man was arrested for breaking his stepdaughter’s arm in their Grant City home, police said yesterday.

Bernard Petosa, 40, allegedly pushed the 12-year-old girl to the floor and punched her left arm several times last Sunday afternoon.

It was unclear what prompted Petosa, who is 6 feet tall and weighs 245 pounds, to attack his stepdaughter, said cops said.

Petosa was charged with assault, endangering the welfare of a child and harassment, according to a spokesman for DA Daniel Donovan.

* A teen was busted for snatching gold chains from seven women in Tompkinsville, authorities said.

Esther Salinsky, 19, most recently pulled a knife on a victim before stealing her necklace at Victory Boulevard and Corson Avenue last Sunday night, police said.

He allegedly grabbed the woman’s shoulder and took the chain.

Salinsky stole chains from six other women in the past two months without displaying a weapon, police said.

He was charged with robbery, grand larceny, and criminal possession of stolen property.

BROOKLYN

* Police are searching for the Sheepshead Bay bank robber pictured above.

Cops said the hooded crook marched into the Dime Savings branch on Coyle Street near Avenue U last Saturday and demanded money from a teller.

He escaped with an undisclosed sum of cash.
