Police yesterday were searching for a 12-year- old girl who ran away from her baby sitter’s West Farms apartment.

Destiny Torres (above) was dropped off by her mother at the sitter’s apartment on Morris Park Avenue near Garfield Street at 5 p.m. Friday.

A short time later, Destiny said she was going out to see a friend and left.

She was last seen wearing a red and black jacket, a black hoodie, blue jeans and white sneakers.

Two thieves who tied up an elderly man and swiped his possessions after forcing their way into his East New York apartment have now both been arrested, authorities said yesterday.

Tyree Vandorn, 27, and Monti Baker, 33, barged into the Fountain Avenue apartment after the 72-year-old man responded to a knock at his door at around 4 p.m. on Jan. 6.

The pair allegedly shoved the man into his bathroom, bound him with duct tape and ransacked the apartment, making off with a 27-inch flat-screen television, $100 in cash, a credit card and several blank checks.

The victim was able to free himself and call 911. Baker was arrested that same day and Vandorn was captured last Thursday.

Both were charged with burglary, menacing and grand larceny.

A man who pummeled an acquaintance in Prospect Lefferts Gardens has been busted in Dutchess County, authorities said yesterday.

Eric Ross, 24, was nabbed last Thursday on assault charges after police received a tip that he was in Poughkeepsie.

Ross accosted a 61-year-old man on Winthrop Street near Bedford Avenue at 9:55 a.m. last May 27, sources said.

He allegedly beat the man and slashed his face, causing injuries that required 14 stitches.

Manhattan

A New Jersey man has been arrested for smashing a Greenwich Village clubgoer in the face with a drinking glass, cops said yesterday.

Jason Murray, 25, of Montclair, allegedly attacked the 28-year-old man in the nightclub on West 13th Street near Hudson Street at 2:45 a.m. Friday.

Responding cops grabbed Murray and frisked him, finding a bag of marijuana, sources said. Murray was charged with felony assault and marijuana possession.

The victim suffered a minor cut under his right eye. It was unclear what sparked the violence.

An Upper East Side woman was assaulted by her neighbor when she tried to return a frying pan, police sources said yesterday.

The 44-year-old victim allegedly knocked on the door of Darsael Hankins’ apartment on First Avenue at East 86th Street just after midnight Friday.

When Hankins, 51, opened the door, the victim tried to give back the pan, but Hankins slammed the door shut, cops said.

The victim tried to talk calmly with Hankins, who opened the door again, grabbed the pan away and smashed the victim in the forehead with it, police said.

Police were called and arrested Hankins on an assault charge.

Cops arrested a 23-year-old man for allegedly beating a man on a Murray Hill street.

Derek Dolan was intoxicated when he punched the 26-year-old Manhattan man in the face on Lexington Avenue near East 30th Street at 2:45 a.m. Friday, sources said.

The victim suffered a laceration above the right eye and refused medical attention.

It was unclear what sparked the attack.

A woman told cops she was raped by a male acquaintance in his luxury Flatiron District apartment.

The 24-year-old woman claimed that the 36-year-old man, whom she has known for two years, forced her to have sex in his apartment on West 24th Street near Sixth Avenue at around 2:30 a.m. on Feb. 7. She reported the incident that same day.

Detectives are investigating the alleged rape of a 16-year-old girl by a school friend after she drank illegally at an East Village bar.

The teen told police that she and her friends went to a saloon on East Second Street at First Avenue at around 12:30 a.m. last Sunday.

After downing one or two beers, she said she left with one of her male friends in his car and they drove to a motel on Tenth Avenue in Hell’s Kitchen.

Once inside a room, the friend allegedly raped her as she tried to fight him off. He then drove her home.

No one has been arrested in the alleged incident.
