* A Hasidic man on his way to synagogue was attacked in Crown Heights in an apparent hate crime, police sources said yesterday.

The 59-year-old man was at Kingston Avenue and Park Place at 8:30 p.m. last Friday when he saw approximately 10 black men across the street, the sources said.

About four of them ran up and one punched him in the face, cops said.

* Firefighters responding to a Bedford-Stuyvesant car wreck found the driver shot in the head, police sources said yesterday.

Deshawn Chisolm, 20, was behind the wheel of a green Acura at Madison Street and Malcolm X Boulevard at 9:30 p.m. Monday when a gunman approached and fired into the car, cops said.

Chisolm, shot in the neck and temple, lost control of the vehicle and slammed into a parked truck.

Chisolm died at Interfaith Hospital.

* A spirited debate over international soccer turned violent when a man attacked two acquaintances in Brighton Beach, authorities said yesterday.

Hilario Pena, 33, boiled over at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday, cops said.

He grabbed a bat and whacked the two men on Neptune Avenue near Brighton 11th Street, police said.

Pena was arrested, cops said. The victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Manhattan

* A Hollywood publicist was assaulted and robbed in the West Village, police sources said yesterday.

Weiman Seid, 39, who has been involved in movies starring Kate Winslet, Jennifer Connelly and Meryl Streep, among others, was jostled by a passer-by at Perry and West Fourth streets at 2 a.m. Sunday, cops said.

According to sources, the jostler became irate, shouting, “You broke my beer. Now you have to buy me a new one!”

When Seid refused, the thug allegedly tackled him, grabbed his wallet containing $100 and ran, police said.

* A 15-year-old girl told police she had been raped on the roof of a West Village apartment building, police sources said yesterday.

The alleged victim, from East Harlem, claimed she was forced by the unidentified man to the roof of the building on Washington Street near Christopher Street at 8:40 p.m. Saturday, cops said.

The girl’s mother reported the alleged attack Tuesday night.

* A suspect who slashed two people in an Upper East Side housing-project elevator was captured after he left behind a prescription bottle with his name on it, authorities said yesterday.

For unknown reasons, Christopher Dietz, 35, pulled a utility knife and slashed the victims in the face and torso on the elevator in the apartment building on First Avenue near East 93rd Street at 11:30 p.m. on April 6, cops said.

One of the victims needed 38 stitches, a source said. Dietz was busted Saturday, a DA spokeswoman said.

Staten Island

* A dim-witted thief who swiped a check for nearly $34,000 was busted after he deposited it, authorities said yesterday.

Xavier Daniel, 20, altered the Wencor West Inc. check to make it payable to himself and deposited it into his account at a TD Bank branch in the borough last Nov. 22, cops said.

That same day, he allegedly went to three other TD branches and withdrew $33,900.

Daniel was busted Tuesday and charged with grand larceny, said a spokesman for DA Daniel Donovan.
