Wanda Brown, 34, who is 5-feet, 100 pounds, asked Luis Salazar, 36, if she could use his cellphone at First Avenue near East 28th Street at about 12:45 Saturday afternoon.

Salazar handed the phone to Brown, who pocketed it and snarled, “If you take $40 out of that automated-teller machine and give it to me, I will give you the phone back,” according to police.

Then Brown socked Salazar in the face, splitting his lip.

Police were called and arrested Brown, who allegedly told cops, “I am going to buy a big knife and come back here and stab you.”

Brown was charged with robbery and harassment.
