Manhattan–A Canadian businessman was busted for allegedly raping a woman and trying to sexually assault her friend in his room at The Plaza, authorities said yesterday.

Mustapha Ouanes, 58, met the two women at a bar in the West Village, sources said.

They wound up in Ouanes’ room in the Fifth Avenue hotel on Jan. 26.

The women were intoxicated and passed out.

One awoke to find Ouanes allegedly raping her; the other was awakened to the cries of her friend, and noticed some of her own clothes had been stripped off.

The alleged victims got away and notified police.

Ouanes was charged with rape and attempted rape. His attorney, Nabil Kassem, denied the charges.

A thief was nabbed in Penn Station after making off with $12,000 from a Midtown movie theater, cops said yesterday.

James Williams, 26, allegedly barged into the AMC Loews 34th Street theater near Eighth Avenue at around 12:30 a.m. Friday and pointed a gun at one of the workers.

He then forced the worker and another employee into a room and demanded cash from a safe, police said.

One worker handed over the cash to Williams, who fled, cops said. Police, armed with a description, flooded the area and searched Penn Station, where they spotted Williams on the LIRR level.

Two young men were captured after robbing a man at gunpoint in a commercial building near Lincoln Center, police sources said yesterday.

Paul Dixon, 19, and Joshua Rivera, 20, asked the man about a laptop he was carrying into the building on Broadway near West 68th Street at 2:05 a.m. Saturday, cops said.

Dixon then pulled a gun and demanded that the victim remove his jacket, cops said.

The pair snatched the victim’s wallet and cellphone and hopped into a cab, cops said.

After the victim called 911, police stopped the taxi at 54th Street and 10th Avenue and arrested the suspects for robbery.

Police have arrested a man in the fatal stabbing outside the China Club last month after identifying him from a surveillance video, sources said.

Charles Davy, 24, of Brooklyn was seen on camera tussling with Kenyatta Cotterell on Eighth Avenue near West 48th Street at 4 a.m. on Jan. 23, cops said.

Davy is seen making a stabbing motion with an apparent folding knife and fleeing as Cotterell falls to the ground, cops said.

He was arrested on Jan. 31 for murder.

Staten Island

A Bloods gang member kept a loaded handgun underneath a blanket inside his infant son’s playpen, authorities said yesterday.

Cops made the disturbing discovery of the .380 pistol at around 6:15 a.m. Tuesday when they executed a search warrant of Milton Stilley’s home on Lake Avenue near Richmond Terrace in Mariners Harbor, officials said.

His 20-month-old daughter and 7-month-old son were playing in the bedroom — just three feet from the weapon — at the time, police said. Ammo was also allegedly found inside the children’s closet.

Stilley, 25, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, a spokesman for DA Daniel Donovan said.

A motorist and his two passengers were busted on drug charges after cops stopped them for a traffic infraction in Arlington, cops said yesterday.

Leslie Green, 30, was driving with Richard Watkins, 27, and Dalisa Barrino, 20, along Northfield Avenue near Arlington Place at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, when cops pulled Green over for failing to signal, sources said.

When the cop approached, he smelled marijuana and noticed two small zip bags of pot in the center console, police said.

The suspects were charged with drug possession, said a spokesman for DA Daniel Donovan.

Brooklyn

Two alert cops nabbed a teenager who was trying to steal a school bus in Gravesend, authorities said yesterday.

The officers saw Gary Stevens, 16, walk up to the unattended bus on East 15th Street near Avenue Z at 2:35 Tuesday afternoon, then heard the engine starting, sources said. The keys, apparently, had been left in the ignition.

They quickly grabbed Stevens before he could drive away, cops said.

Stevens, who was charged with attempted grand larceny, allegedly claimed he turned on the ignition so he could close the door and go to sleep.

An intoxicated man threatened to shoot a worker at a Bedford-Stuyvesant fast-food joint during an argument over chicken, authorities said yesterday.

Manes Beauchamp, 35, allegedly started banging on a glass partition separating him from the 26-year-old victim in Crown Fried Chicken on Fulton Street near Throop Avenue at 2 a.m. Tuesday.

After Beauchamp demanded chicken and cash, the victim repeatedly told him to leave, cops said.

Beauchamp then stuffed his hands into his pocket, pretending to have a gun and threatening to shoot the victim, cops said.

Police were called and arrested Beauchamp, who was charged with disorderly conduct.
