Police are searching for the bicycle-riding thug who shot a woman to death on a Claremont street last night

Anasa Adamson, 22, of Teller Avenue was returning home from a bodega around 8 p.m. when a gunman rode up along side her at the corner of East 172 Street and Selwyn Avenue and shot her in the head, cops said.

She was rushed to Bronx Lebanon Hospital where she was pronounced dead 50 minutes later. The gunman was described as a black male, clad in a black shirt with a white T-shirt underneath, cut-off shorts and a red, white and blue hat.

A dispute over a girl in the Soundview section early yesterday resulted in one teen being shot and killed and three others being wounded, two of them critically, police sources said.

The incident unfolded at 1:45 a.m. in the rear of 880 Boynton Ave., when the suspect approached a group of men near a public park and asked for someone by name, said Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly.

Kelly said none of those who were there appeared to know the suspect, who walked away before cursing at the group and firing a weapon.

Police said one of the bullets struck Boyd Hodge, 16, of Greenburgh, in the chest. Boyd, who goes by the nickname Mista, was transported to Jacobi Hospital, where he was declared dead 45 minutes later.

“In his whole 16 years, all I ever got was compliments about him. He was very respectful, he never fought or argued,” said his mom, Maxcine Souser, 37.

Three other teens, who were also shot, are recovering. One of them, Omar Ryan, 19, was shot in the chest. Another, Dorian Simms, 19, who was wounded in the face, was found to be carrying a loaded .22-caliber revolver. He faces charges of criminal possession of a weapon. Ryan and Simms were listed in critical condition.

Jason McNatt, 18, who was hit in the right arm, was in stable condition. Detectives were interviewing witnesses and looking for the gunman. Kelly said it was still unclear if any of the victims knew the girl, who was apparently the suspect’s acquaintance.

Police yesterday identified the suspect who was shot by cops after he allegedly robbed a McDonald’s restaurant in the Mount Hope section Thursday night.

Thurman Ellison, 44, pulled a gun at the eatery, at 1625 Webster Ave., at 8:30 p.m. and was running off with the loot when he tried to drive off in a car he commandeered at gunpoint, sources said.

A cop arrived and shot Ellison in the right thigh.

The cop, whose name was not released, was treated for trauma at Jacobi Hospital and Ellison was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Charges against Ellison were pending.

A 30-year-old man was arrested for brutally assaulting his mother, blinding her in one eye, early yesterday in the Baychester section, police said.

Police arrested Morgan McHenry, 30, after he allegedly roughed up his 69-year-old mom. The mother, whose name was not released, had both of her eyes gouged, one of them so severely that she is expected to lose sight in that eye.

She was taken to Jacobi Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition. Her son, who was taken into custody, was being evaluated at Bellevue Hospital to determine his mental condition.

An emotionally disturbed man who was taken into police custody in the Flatbush section died in an ambulance on his way to the hospital early yesterday.

Police said they received several calls concerning an emotionally disturbed man just after midnight yesterday when the victim, who was not identified, was standing in traffic in front of 881 Washington Ave. and began hitting passing vehicles with a cane.

He was taken into custody and placed into a city ambulance that was taking him to Kings County Hospital for evaluation. He then went into cardiac arrest, and was later declared dead.
