Cops and members of a community patrol teamed up to catch a teenage purse-snatcher in Midwood, sources said yesterday.
Thomas Corion, 17, sneaked up behind a woman on East Ninth Street near Avenue J at 3 p.m. July 26 and grabbed her purse, police said.
A witness called the Flatbush Shomrim, a civilian anti-crime patrol, and described the suspect.
Shomrim members spotted Corion and trailed him until police arrived and arrested him. The purse was recovered.
Corion was charged with petit larceny and possession of stolen property, said Brooklyn DA Charles Hynes’ office.

A gang of crooks was caught trying to break into an ATM machine in Park Slope, police said.
The four men were allegedly using a crowbar to try to pry open the machine outside a pizzeria on Fifth Avenue near Fourth Street at 2 a.m. Wednesday when a witness saw them and called 911.
Two plainclothes cops caught the men in the act and nabbed all four before they could access the cash, police said.
Miguel Rivera, 22, Rondell Blackman, 23, James Mitchell, 22, and Heriberto Morales, 35, were all charged with attempted grand larceny and possession of burglar tools.

A pack of teens beat and robbed a man on a subway train in Park Slope.
A man in his 20s was riding a Brooklyn-bound G train at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday when he was set upon by as many as nine teens.
They beat him and took his wallet, cell and iPod, before fleeing when the train at pulled into the Seventh Avenue station.
The victim got off at 15th Street/Prospect Park and called 911.
Cops scoured the neighborhood and grabbed nine suspects, who had been returning from summer school classes at Automotive HS in Greenpoint.

A Brooklyn Heights man with a long arrest record was shot in the back and critically wounded in front of his high-rise apartment building yesterday.
The 28-year-old victim, whose name was withheld, was standing outside 101 Clark St. when a gunman fired two shots and fled.
Police said the violence was the result of a previous dispute and believe they know the identity of the gunman. The victim has 15 prior arrests.
Staten Island
A woman was busted after allegedly swindling the state out of nearly $50,000 worth of welfare housing benefits while living in Park Hill.
Risikat Kazeem, 51, lived in the Park Hill Houses between December 2005 and December 2008, according to court papers. During that time, she filed applications for assistance, claiming she earned just $13,195 in 2008, said sources.
She received more than $48,000 in rent subsidies over the four years, the sources said.
Investigators later learned Kazeem worked at the Verrazano Nursing Home, where she earned $53,900 in 2005 and her income climbed until 2008, when she earned $67,800, records revealed.
She was arrested at her home on Wednesday and charged with grand larceny and falsifying business records, said a spokesman for DA Daniel Donovan.

Cops caught up with a thug more than a month after he was caught on camera brutally beating and robbing a man in Westerleigh, police said.
Anthony O’Neil allegedly attacked the man on Forest Avenue near Pontiac Street at 4:30 a.m. June 2.
He was caught on surveillance kicking the victim in the head several times before rifling through his pockets and swiping his wallet, police said.
The victim was hospitalized for a concussion and a fractured cheek.
Using the video, cops identified O’Neil and busted him Wednesday. He allegedly confessed, and was charged with robbery, grand larceny and assault.
Queens
All the evidence cops needed to track down a suspected prowler was found on the toilet.
A homeowner told cops he went to sleep at 1 a.m. in his home on Bayswater Avenue near Bay 24th Street in Far Rockaway on May 20 and woke up at 4:30 a.m. to find cellphones, credit cards and cash missing.
On the toilet, cops found the palm print of ex-con Kevin Phillip, 43, whose prints were on file following past arrests for burglary and robbery.
He was busted July 21 for burglary, said a spokesman for Queens DA Richard Brown.

A woman was busted after she kicked a man in the groin during an argument in Ozone Park.
Sandy Garcia-Sarceño, 21, was arguing with the man on 101st Avenue near Remington Street at about 1 a.m. on July 20, when she kicked him with such force, he suffered a cut and swelling, police said.
Garcia-Sarceño was busted on July 24.
