BROOKLYN
* Cops yesterday identified a Long Island man killed in a motorcycle accident at Floyd Bennett Field in Marine Park.
Edward Barnes, 36, was apparently riding a Honda east at around 8 p.m. Tuesday when he collided with a 41-year- old cycle enthusiast on a Suzuki.
Barnes was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he died yesterday.
The other victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. No arrests were made, and no summonses issued.
* The body of an unidentified man was found wrapped in plastic and a blanket early yesterday near Floyd Bennett Field, police said.
The body was discovered on Flatbush Avenue at around 7:30 a.m. An autopsy is pending.
THE BRONX
* A 19-year-old woman told cops she was raped by a man in Woodlawn, police said yesterday.
The victim got into a van with her alleged attacker on East 18th Street in Brooklyn around 5:30 p.m. Monday. The circumstances under which she entered the van were not revealed.
The man drove her to East 233rd Street and Webster Avenue in The Bronx, where he raped her.
The woman reported the incident Tuesday and was taken to Kings County Hospital for treatment.
MANHATTAN
* A 21-year veteran NYPD sergeant has been suspended after a drug suspect in his custody escaped in East Harlem, cops said yesterday.
Joseph Butler was suspended from his duties at the 25th Precinct at around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Hours earlier, Jorge Rivera, 24, was arrested for alleged criminal possession of a controlled substance on East 122nd Street at Lexington Avenue.
After cops loaded Rivera into a transport van, he fled through the rear door while en route to the station house.
* The body of an unidentified woman in her 20s was found at 1:40 p.m. yesterday in a hotel on Eighth Avenue and West 48th Street, police said.
STATEN ISLAND
* Two men were arrested on drug charges after cops caught them driving the wrong way on a street in South Beach, authorities said yesterday.
Sources said Joel Belen, 25, and Alberto Lopez, 31, were found with four ounces of cocaine on Father Capodanno Boulevard and Sand Lane around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The Staten Island DA’s Office charged them with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
* A 48-year-old man has been arrested for swiping a woman’s ATM card and withdrawing more than $1,500 from cash machines, authorities said yesterday.
Anthony Griffin allegedly stole his victim’s Citibank ATM card from her pocketbook when he was in her residence in March of this year.
While it was not immediately clear how Griffin got the card’s PIN number, he used the card in ATM machines at five different locations in Staten Island and Manhattan.
The Staten Island DA’s Office charged him with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny.
* A 22-year-old man was shot in the thigh after a gun-toting thug accosted him and opened fire on a Todt Hill street, police said yesterday.
The victim was wounded on Manor Road near Westwood Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.
He was taken to Staten Island University Hospital, where he is in stable condition.
The shooter, whose motive was not known, fled.
