A thug was arrested Saturday night after allegedly pummeling and biting a woman and assaulting a police officer near Columbia University, cops said.
Ashe Sinha, 28, allegedly attacked the 22-year-old woman on Broadway near 116th Street at 11:30 p.m.
Sinha, who fled onto the campus and was nabbed by school security, kicked a police officer who was taking him into custody, authorities said.

An employee at a clothing shop in the Flatiron District was arrested he allegedly got a little too friendly with co-workers.
Ayodele Fagbenle, 23, allegedly made unwelcome sexual advances toward a colleague in an employee locker at the Burlington Coat Factory on Sixth Avenue near West 23rd Street about 9 a.m. March 28.
He grabbed the employee’s buttocks, then thrust his hand down the front of the worker’s pants, according to court papers. He did the same thing to another employee in the same locker room the next day, the papers claim.
The gender of the alleged victims was unclear.
Fagbenle was arrested shortly after the second incident and was charged with sexual abuse, said a spokeswoman for DA Cyrus Vance Jr.

Police yesterday were trying to determine the circumstances surrounding the death of a man, whose body was found in a SoHo subway tunnel.
The 50-year-old man was found on the northbound No 4 tracks 50 yards from the platform of the Spring Street station at 10 p.m. Saturday.

A furious female attacked another woman in Fort Greene for sleeping with her boyfriend, police said yesterday.
“You’re that bitch!” Melinda Sherman, 22, allegedly shouted at the 29-year-old victim when at 9:30 p.m. March 27 in a store at Carlton and Myrtle avenues.
The victim explained that she merely works with Sherman’s lover and nothing more, cops said.
But Sherman allegedly flew into a rage, ripped off the victim’s glasses and began punching her in the head and chest. She then fled in a cab, police said.
The victim was treated at Brooklyn Hospital. She later identified her attacker from an NYPD photo, and Sherman was arrested March 30.

A 59-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly hurling anti-Semitic slurs at a Jewish man in Crown Heights.
The victim was walking home after services at his synagogue around 5:10 p.m. Sept. 26 when he encountered Sylvester Wilson on Nostrand Avenue near St. John’s Place and Wilson began shouting derogatory remarks, according to cops.
Wilson allegedly chased the victim along Nostrand while wildly waving his walking stick and a broom.
Then, at 4:35 p.m. last Tuesday, Wilson again verbally accosted the victim at the same location, cops said. Responding officers arrested Wilson and charged him with menacing as a hate crime.
Bronx
A man was arrested after he allegedly tried to break into his lover’s Mount Eden apartment.
“I’m going to kill you, open the f – – king window!” Curtis Patterson, 52, yelled as he stood on the fire escape of her apartment on Shakespeare Avenue near West 172nd Street at 11:40 p.m. March 24, police said.
He then kicked out the glass window and crawled into the apartment through the broken pane, scaring the victim’s 13-year-old daughter, cops said.
Earlier in the night, Patterson had allegedly called the woman at least 20 times and threatened her over the phone.
Responding officers arrested Patterson for burglary, criminal trespass and aggravated harassment.

Police are hunting for a gunman who killed a man yesterday in Melrose.
The 31-year-old victim was found by cops responding to a call of gunfire on East 157th Street near Courtlandt Avenue at about 4:30 a.m.

A Morris Heights woman scammed the state Department of Labor out of $9,500 in unemployment benefits, authorities said.
Tamiko Jordan applied for public benefits and received nearly $10,000 in financial assistance between August 2007 and May 2009 while still employed by the architectural firm Perkins-Eastman, according to court papers.
Jordan, 30, was arrested last Monday and charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.
She no longer works for Perkins Eastman, a company spokeswoman said.
