A graffiti vandal was struck and killed yesterday inside a subway tunnel in Sunset Park.
The 20-year-old man was struck by a Manhattan-bound D train near the 59th Street station at about 5:30 a.m.
Cops said they found spray-paint cans near the body, leading them to believe he was in the tunnel to vandalize it.
The victim’s name was withheld pending family notification.

A would-be thief tried to break into a Bedford-Stuyvesant church by smashing through its facade with a sledgehammer, authorities said yesterday.
Eric Latham, 33, allegedly crushed the rear wall of the Emanuel Pentecostal Church on Bedford Avenue near Brevoort Place at 11:20 p.m. Saturday.
A neighbor heard the commotion, looked out his window and saw Latham allegedly striking the wall.
The witness called 911 and cops quickly arrested Latham, who was charged with criminal mischief and attempted burglary.

Cops yesterday pulled the body of a man out of the water near Bay Ridge.
He was discovered about 4 p.m. in the Narrows off 91st Street and the Belt Parkway.
He appeared to have been in the water for an extended period of time, cops said.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death.
Queens
A DNA match has led to the arrest of a burglar who had stolen jewelry from a Jamaica home last year, authorities said yesterday.
Wilberto Rodriguez, 40, allegedly slipped into an apartment on 88th Avenue near 150th Street between 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Aug. 6, 2010.
He swiped assorted jewelry and fled, leaving behind a chisel, according to a spokesperson for DA Richard Brown.
Police tested the tool and got a DNA hit. Rodriguez was arrested Wednesday and charged with burglary and petit larceny.

A thug was nabbed for beating and robbing a motorist in Pomonok, authorities said yesterday.
Ivan Bryan, 20, approached the driver, who was stopped at the intersection of 65th Avenue and Parsons Boulevard, at 4:30 p.m. April 14.
Bryan snatched the man’s watch, jumped into a car and sped off, cops said.
A few minutes later, the victim spotted the suspect outside Queens College on Kissena Boulevard and demanded his watch back, according to the DA.
Bryan became irate, and allegedly began punching and kicking the victim, who was treated for his injuries at a local hospital.
Cops arrested Bryan on Wednesday for robbery and assault.
Staten Island
A phony sheriff got caught red-handed, authorities said.
Timothy Hurd, 35, parked a Crown Victoria sedan, outfitted with lights, sirens and scanners, near a fire hydrant at the corner of Cedar Grove Avenue near New Dorp Lane on Sunday, according to a spokesperson for DA Dan Donovan.
Police approached him at 12:45 a.m. and noticed a fake FDNY parking placard and forged FDNY lieutenant’s shield in the windshield before spotting a “sheriff” bag complete with an imitation pistol, knife, cuffs and baton, authorities said.
Police slapped their cuffs on him and charged him with criminal possession of a forged instrument and criminal possession of a weapon.
Bronx
A brute threatened to kill his child’s mother in a Claremont home, authorities said yesterday.
Devon Cave, 20, allegedly broke down the door of the victim’s apartment on Mount Eden Parkway near Weeks Avenue at 5:15 p.m. Friday and spewed, “I’m going to kill you. I’m going to shoot you and your neighbors.”
Cave grabbed the woman by the hair, and punched her several times before knocking her to the ground and kicking her in the stomach, authorities said.
The victim tried to call 911, but Cave allegedly tore the phone from her hand and fled.
Someone called police, who found Cave and busted him for burglary and assault.
The victim suffered lacerations.

Two thieves were busted for a gunpoint robbery in Mount Hope, law-enforcement sources said.
Rudolph Clarke, 28, and Delajhi Joyner, 17, struck up a conversation with the victim on Morris Avenue near East Tremont at 12:30 a.m. Friday before robbing him, authorities said.
Joyner whipped out a gun while Clarke rifled through the victim’s pockets, snatching $400, a cellphone and jewelry, coops said.
Responding police said they spotted Clarke fleeing and Joyner crouching behind a parked vehicle.
Cops recovered the gun under the parked car, authorities said.
Police also found Clarke with the stolen watch and more than $300, authorities said.
The men were arrested that day for robbery, criminal possession of a weapon and grand larceny.
