THE BRONX
* Six youths were arrested yesterday for vandalizing an Edenwald school last week, police said.
Moises Valentin, 19, Edward Palacio, 16, and four other teens between the ages of 14 and 15 climbed through a window at PS 112 on Schieffelin Avenue around 5:30 a.m. Friday and damaged desks, walls and classrooms, police said.
A Department of Education spokeswoman said the damage approached $100,000.
The suspects were charged with criminal mischief, criminal trespass and burglary.
* A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the gunpoint robberies of two livery cab drivers in Mott Haven, authorities said yesterday.
The suspect, whose name was not immediately released, was a passenger in a third livery cab at 1:30 p.m. Monday when the driver recognized him from a wanted poster and called police.
The suspect grew suspicious and fled when the cab stopped at a red light at East 161st Street and Ryder Avenue, sources said.
During a search of the area, police found the suspect at East 156th Street and Third Avenue and placed him under arrest on robbery charges.
Sources said the gun-toting thief stole about $50 each from the livery drivers in late August and early this month.
He was caught in the act by security cameras in the cabs.
MANHATTAN
* The statue of Jesus stolen from a Midtown church about three weeks ago was discovered by a worker in an alley yesterday, police said.
The employee discovered the metal statue on top of a garbage can next to Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church at 329 W. 42nd St. around 6 a.m.
The statue was swiped from the church at 9 a.m. on Aug. 23.
Police said the church had been locked and there were no signs of forced entry.
* Racial insults were spray-painted on a window of the NYU College of Dentistry, police said yesterday. The possible bias-related incident took place at the building on East 24th Street near First Avenue at 4:30 p.m. Monday.
BROOKLYN
* The 19-year-old man shot on a Bedford-Stuyvesant street Monday had been embroiled in an ongoing dispute with his attacker for two years, authorities said yesterday.
Jahmeek Hudson was shot in the arm at the Roosevelt Houses on Marcus Garvey Boulevard near Pulaski Street by a man who accosted him, pulled a .38 caliber handgun and fired three shots.
Officers on patrol in the area heard the shots and chased the gunman.
As they ran between two buildings, the gunman tossed his weapon into a parking lot and disappeared as he cut through a yard.
Hudson was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
* A man in his 30s walked into a Borough Park bank yesterday, slipped a teller a note demanding money and fled with $800, police said.
The robbery took place at the HSBC Bank on 13th Avenue near 44th Street at 10 a.m.
A four-year-old boy was critically injured in Sunset Park yesterday when he was hit by a van driven by a man carrying a phony driver’s license, police said.
The van driver, David Ramirez Mendoza, 53, was travelling north on 43rd Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues around 3:30 p.m., cops said. The boy was taken to Lutheran Hospital. Mendoza was charged with possession of a forged instrument and driving an uninsured vehicle.

STATEN ISLAND
* A 34-year-old woman has been arrested for menacing a man with a steak knife at a New Brighton apartment building, authorities said yesterday.
Makeeba Thompson repeatedly waved the knife at the man behind the building on Van Tuyl and York streets at 10:30 a.m. Monday, said cops.
Police charged Thompson with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.
* A 43-year-old man has been arrested for trying to steal truck in Rosebank, authorities said yesterday. Phillip Bloomer placed a metal wire between the passenger side window and the rubber seal of the 1988 GMC truck on Willow Avenue and Ditson Street around 10:30 a.m. Monday, attempting to open the door, police said.
Police charged Bloomer with attempted grand larceny, criminal mischief and possession of burglar’s tools. (all except replate edition)
