BROOKLYN

* Two men were shot dead and another wounded when a masked gunman opened fire as they sat in their car on an East Flatbush street.

Investigators said the killer, wearing a ski mask, was lying in wait for the three as they drove up to a building on New York Avenue at 5:30 a.m. yesterday.

The gunman walked up to the car and shot the man in the front passenger seat, Copeland Young, 32, in the head.

He then pointed the gun at the driver, Kareen Nathaniel, 32, and shot him once in the head. Both men were killed.

The shooter then pointed his gun into the back seat and shot at the other passenger, Aubin Debraux, 28, who was hit once in the hip.

The murderer fled.

Debraux was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was in stable condition.

* A 23-year-old man was stabbed yesterday during an argument with another man in Flatbush.

Cops said the victim was stabbed in the torso during the dispute on Linden Boulevard near Bedford Avenue at 4:45 a.m.

The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital in critical condition.

* An emotionally disturbed man died yesterday as he was being taken to the hospital after being restrained by police, officials said.

The man’s mother locked herself in the bathroom of her Borough Park home and called police just before 1 a.m. after she became afraid her son would harm her, cops said.

Police who arrived at the building on 40th Street found the man, Anthony Mastriano, 39, in an emotionally disturbed state.

Emergency Service cops were called and after a struggle they were able to restrain him with handcuffs, Velcro straps on his legs and a device called a restraint bag, which covered most of his body.

He then suffered a heart attack and died on the way to Maimonides Hospital, police said.

The family told police Mastriano had a history of drug abuse, authorities said.

Cops said the medical examiner will conduct an autopsy.

* A woman was killed in front of her home Saturday by an SUV that jumped the curb on Ralph Avenue in Brownsville, cops said yesterday.

Cheryl Ingram, 48, was taken to Kings County Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Three people inside the vehicle received minor injuries in the 5:03 p.m. accident.

The driver of the 1994 Jeep was not charged.

* An off-duty correction officer was arrested and charged with drunken driving Saturday.

Andre Drayton was stopped at the corner of Nostrand and Park avenues in Bedford-Stuyvesant at 3:10 p.m., police said.

MANHATTAN

* A French tourist was slashed across the face on a subway train early yesterday, police said.

The 29-year-old man was riding on a southbound A train when he was attacked.

As the train pulled into the Chambers Street station, a man slashed him across the face and lip and then got off the train.

The victim was taken to St. Vincents Hospital where he was in stable condition.

* A 65-year-old woman was mugged in Central Park Saturday night by thugs who stole $19 from her.

The woman was walking near the reservoir when the men came up from behind, pushed her down and ran off with her money. She was not seriously injured.

QUEENS

* A 35-year-old man was hit in the face by two thugs who yelled anti-gay slurs during a mugging, police said.

The incident occurred at 4 a.m. at Metropolitan Avenue and Grosvenor Lane in Kew Gardens.

The two crooks hit their victim with an unknown object, then took his money and ran off.

He was treated for facial cuts at North Shore Hospital of Forest Hills.
