Cops nabbed five scam artists who tried to con an elderly woman out of thousands of dollars in Chinatown, authorities said.
Jun Liang, 44, Yae Chen, 46, and Xiumei He, 39, first spoke to the victim, 67, on Monday on Elizabeth Street near Bayard Street, according to a Criminal Court complaint.
Chen said she was going to see He’s grandfather, a spiritual doctor, and consult him about her family and health, sources said.
The victim was told her son would be in a bloody incident unless she brought her valuables to the doctor, the complaint states.
The woman said she had $18,000 in cash and jewelry at home and promised to bring it to Chatham Square.
Instead, she set up the fraudsters and brought a red bag containing just paper, police sources said.
A cop spotted the bag exchange and intervened—but He and Chen fled while Liang allegedly tried to ditch the bag.
The three were quickly collared.
Hua Huo Chen, 50, and Jingchang Quan, 44, were also arrested in connection with the case.
All five were charged with attempted grand larceny.

Last Oct. 24, he was allegedly seen on video taking three laptop computers from the office.
Blue State traced the credit-card transactions to Gonzalez and contacted police. He was arrested Wednesday.
