Two phony electricians conned an elderly woman by telling her they needed to check the wiring in her Astoria apartment, then stole cash and jewelry from her, authorities said.

The suspects (pictured above) knocked on the door of the 79-year-old woman at about 1 p.m. on Aug. 1 and told her that equipment in the building had shorted out and so they needed to check the outlets in her apartment, cops said.

The woman let the thieves in, allowing them to go from room to room as they pretended to check the outlets with some type of electrical device, cops said.

When they got to her bedroom, the bogus electricians removed $100 and some jewelry before telling the unsuspecting victim that everything in her apartment was safe.

The suspects then fled in a silver Volkswagen.

One of the men is described by police as being in his 40s, while the other was said to be in his mid-20s.

An alleged fare-poaching livery-car operator beat up the driver of a yellow cab who photographed the suspect committing the crime at Kennedy Airport, Port Authority officials said.

Livery driver Karl Graham, 42, was illegally picking up passengers at Terminal 7 at about 6 p.m. Thursday, PA officials said.

A yellow-cab driver noticed the illegal action, took out his cellphone and started taking pictures of the suspect in the act, officials said.

Graham then pulled up his vehicle next to the yellow-cab driver, got out and started punching the victim repeatedly through the window of his vehicle, PA police said.

The suspect then grabbed the victim’s car keys and returned to his vehicle, where PA cops busted him.

Graham was charged with assault and robbery, officials said.

Two thieves duped a Greenwich Village store clerk by pretending to be cops, then stole cash and cigarettes, authorities said.

The suspects (pictured above) walked into the Smoke Shop on West 4th Street, pulled out a phony police shield and demanded that the clerk show them the store’s tobacco license, police sources said.

The thieves then told the employee they were going to take a look around the store and made him wait outside while they removed about $1,200 from the register and 24 packs of Marlboro cigarettes.

Upon fleeing, one of the men threatened to shoot the clerk if he attempted to follow them, sources said.

Both thieves are believed to be in their 30s, with one standing approximately 6-foot-2 with short black hair.

He was last seen wearing a blue shirt with a white towel around his shoulders.

His partner stands about 5-foot-6 and sports a long, black ponytail. He was last seen wearing an orange and black hat.
