A mugger shot an East Harlem man in the stomach, police said yesterday.
The 25-year-old victim was approached by the gunman at East 117th Street and Second Avenue at around 11 p.m. Sunday.
The thug shot the man while trying to snatch his coat, but fled empty-handed.
The wounded man was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital in stable condition.
A Harlem man was injured during a robbery yesterday when two thugs shoved him to the ground, police said yesterday.
The 59-year-old man was confronted by the pair on the first-floor of an apartment building on West 140th Street near Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard at around 12:30 a.m.
At least one of the men pulled a gun, announced a stickup and knocked the victim to the ground. After stealing his cash, the robbers fled.
The injured man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in stable condition.
Brooklyn
A Coney Island woman was beaten and choked by her boyfriend after she accused him of looking at another woman, authorities said yesterday.
The 24-year-old woman was punched in the nose, allegedly by Usher Banks, 31, in her apartment on West 25th Street near Surf Avenue at 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Banks then choked her before leaving her apartment, police said.
Cops found Banks still in the building and busted him on assault and harassment charges.
A 17-year-old gave his mother a black eye when he punched her in the face in their Cypress Hills apartment, cops said yesterday.
Eric Juarbe had a heated argument with his mother, Lucy, over bringing his girlfriend into the bedroom he shares with his two younger brothers in the residence on Bradford Street near Atlantic Avenue at around 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 3, cops said.
When the mom said she wanted his girlfriend to leave, Juarbe allegedly went berserk and repeatedly punched her. When his stepfather intervened, Juarbe hit him in the nose, cops said.
Police arrested Juarbe on charges of assault and harassment.
A robbery attempt led to the shooting of two men as they left a nightclub in Bedford-Stuyvesant Sunday, police said yesterday.
Brett Archer, 26, and Erin Clinton, 42, had stepped out of De Carib, at Macon Street and Nostrand Avenue, at 5:45 a.m., when an unidentified gunman approached them and opened fire.
Archer and Clinton were each wounded the leg and taken to Kings County Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition. The assailant fled.
Queens
The fatal shooting of a man outside his South Jamaica home Sunday was an apparent drug-related attack, police said yesterday.
James Limbacker, 28, was shot in the stomach outside his home on 142nd Street near Lakewood Avenue at around 11:30 a.m., when an assailant approached him, opened fire and fled.
The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he died.
Staten Island
A Mariners Harbor man beat and slashed his wife in their apartment, authorities said yesterday.
Lanre MacAulay, 47, was arrested Sunday and charged with assault and harassment.
He allegedly pulled a knife and cut his wife on her arm in their home on Simonson Avenue near Richmond Terrace at around 4 p.m. on Dec. 27. He then pummeled her in the chest, police said.
The victim needed six stitches to close the wound on her right arm.
A 23-year-old woman sprayed another woman in the face with Mace in her Tompkinsville home, authorities said yesterday. Dalia Cordero was arrested Sunday on assault and harassment charges.
The alleged violence took place at 10 a.m. on Dec. 22 in the home on Bay Street near Minthorne Street.
