A man whose name is – of all things – John Doe has been arrested for trespassing in the Park Hill Projects, authorities said yesterday.
Doe, 20, was in the lobby of the housing development at 225 Park Hill Ave. around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, where several “No Trespassing” signs are posted conspicuously.
Doe, who does not live in the building, was grabbed by a cop and charged with criminal trespass.
A detective arrested a teen after spotting him showing a quantity of cocaine and marijuana to another man in Dongan Hills, authorities said yesterday.
Narcotics Detective Kevin O’Keefe saw James Coscia display a bag of cocaine and three bags of marijuana at Olympia and Slater boulevards around 5:30 p.m. Thursday before putting the items in his coat, cops said.
Bronx
A 28-year-old man was hit during a drive-by shooting in Melrose, police said yesterday.
The man was hanging out with friends at Caldwell Avenue near East 161st Street around 11 p.m. Thursday, when a red car drove up and shots were fired from the vehicle.
The victim was hit in the buttocks and the car took off. He was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Four men were stabbed yesterday in an argument apparently over a woman in a Bronxdale pool hall, police said.
The violence began about 3:15 a.m., when a man was stabbed inside Park Billiards on White Plains Road near Bronxdale Avenue.
Friends on both sides jumped in, sparking a melee. The four victims were taken to Jacobi Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.
Brooklyn
A Starrett City man pummeled his girlfriend after he saw her sitting in a car with another man, authorities said yesterday.
Kenneth Foster, 37, caught his 41-year-old girlfriend Maria Quintana with an unidentified man in a car parked at Vandalia Avenue near Louisiana Avenue at 11:50 p.m. Wednesday.
Foster dragged Quintana out of the car and punched her several times in the face, cops said. The man accompanying her drove away.
Police arrested Foster on assault and menacing charges. Quintana suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
A Crips gang member has been arrested for fatally shooting a member of the Bloods gang at a Canarsie party last year, authorities said yesterday.
Franz Mullings, 20, was hanging out with fellow Crips members in the backyard of a building at Avenue K near East 82nd Street on June 29. Anthony Erwin and other Bloods also were present at the party when a fellow Crip handed a pistol to Mullings, who opened fire, unprovoked, cops said. Erwin was hit three times in the chest and staggered to a nearby alley. Mullings followed him and fired three more shots, cops said. Erwin was pronounced dead at the scene. Police arrested Mullings on Wednesday and charged him with murder and gun possession.
Cops are seeking two brothers who have been on the lam since shooting a 23-year-old man on a Bedford-Stuyvesant street earlier this month.
Ronnie McMillan, 26, and his brother Shamel, 23, are wanted for allegedly shooting the unidentified man six times in front of 730 Monroe St. on Jan. 6.
The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.
Ronnie McMillan is described as being 5-foot-9 and 165 pounds, and Shamel 5-6 and 145.
Manhattan
A 44-year-old woman was sprayed with a mace-like substance in Central Park yesterday after refusing to give up cash to a pair of teen muggers, cops said.
The two unidentified teens, believed to be either 15 or 16 years old, confronted the woman at 4 p.m. at 101st Street and East Drive.
When the woman refused to give them money, one of the young thugs spattered her with the substance. The teens ran off and the woman, who was not badly doused, got first aid at the Central Park police station.
