* Police have arrested a man on charges of shooting a bystander in the DUMBO section in October 2002.

Jeffrey Davis allegedly shot the bystander Oct. 1 at 10:15 p.m. as he was surrounded at the corner of Bridge and York streets by a group of young men he’d turned away from his cousin’s party.

He noticed one person in the group had a gun and grabbed it before opening fire, cops said.

His shot hit a passerby in the right leg, said cops. Davis was picked up Wednesday on a marijuana possession charge and police realized he was wanted in the shooting.

* A 17-year-old boy is charged with robbing a woman at gunpoint in Brownsville, police said yesterday.

Kristoph Miller was walking on Eastern Parkway near Ralph Avenue around 12:30 p.m. Thursday when he pulled a gun and demanded cash and jewelry from the 34-year- old woman, said cops.

The woman threw her earrings and purse containing $50 on the ground.

After Miller fled with the purse, the woman called 911.

Cops drove the victim around the neighborhood, and she spotted Miller, who was charged with robbery and menacing.

* A DUMBO man was arrested for slashing and robbing his sister’s roommate several weeks ago, authorities said yesterday.

At 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 25, Teofilo Colon, 40, offered to sell some items to the roommate, 56, in his sister’s apartment on York Street.

When the man said he couldn’t afford the items, Colon allegedly pulled a knife and demanded money.

During a struggle, Colon slashed the man’s palm and fingers, said police. Colon rifled through the man’s pocket and took $150, cops said.

Colon was charged with assault, robbery and menacing.

Bronx

* A 66-year-old woman was groped by a young man in her Mott Haven housing development, cops said yesterday.

The woman stepped in an elevator occupied by her 19- to 22-year-old attacker in her East 143rd Street building at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

The man grabbed her blouse and groped her. After she yelled, the elevator doors opened and she ran. The suspect also fled.

* A Crotona Park East man was arrested in the shooting murder last month of a 26-year-old man in an argument over a woman, police said.

Santos Torres, also 26, was charged with murder and manslaughter on Thursday in the Feb. 3 shooting of Pasquale Devalle at East 174th Street and Vyse Avenue.

Manhattan

* A trainee school-safety agent was arrested for cashing a forged check at an Upper West Side bank in January, cops said yesterday.

Venus Hyppolite, 33, was charged with forgery after she was nabbed Wednesday. She has been suspended from the school safety agent academy, said police.

At noon on Jan. 21, Hyppolite allegedly cashed a bogus $733 check at a Citibank on Broadway and West 86th Street.

Queens

* A Bronx man has been arrested for three gunpoint robberies of Queens hotels that netted him $2,780, police said.

Delon Owens, 32, was charged with robbery on Wednesday in a crime spree that began Jan. 20.

In the first hit, Owens, wearing a ski mask and brandishing a gun, walked into the Claridon Hotel on Ditmars Boulevard at 11:50 p.m., demanded money and fled with $300, cops said.

The next day, Owens held up a Holiday Inn Express on South Conduit Avenue at 11:30 p.m., and made off with $1,500, police said.

He allegedly robbed a Best Western hotel on Horace Harding Boulevard at 9 p.m. on Feb. 27. This time he pretended to have a weapon and fled with $980, said cops.

* Police were called to a Springfield Gardens school yesterday after a male student lifted up a classmate’s blouse exposing her chest, police said.

The incident occurred around 2:15 p.m., when an 11 year-old boy at PS 37 at 179-37 137th Ave. pulled up a girl’s shirt, police said. The boy was released to his parents’ custody.
