MANHATTAN

* One student was injured and two were arrested at Park West HS yesterday after an argument turned violent.

Police said a 16-year-old was stabbed once in the chest on the northeast corner of 50th Street and Eighth Avenue shortly after 3 p.m. He was released after being treated at St. Vincent’s Hospital.

Two students, Julio Vargas, 18, and Luis Castillo, 17, both of The Bronx, were arrested near the scene of the attack and charged with assault and weapons possession, officials said.

QUEENS

* A 14-year-old girl was injured yesterday when her pants caught fire on a Queens subway train, authorities said.

The teen was sitting in a northbound E train at the Roosevelt Avenue station at 12:30 p.m., when a fire erupted under her seat apparently from a heater, sources said. When her pants went up in flames, her right leg was burned.

She was released after being treated at Elmhurst Hospital.

* Two men who fired at a highway cop in Queens Village after he stopped their speeding car have been charged with attempted murder of a police officer and weapons possession, authorities said yesterday.

Robert Mayo, 34, and Patrice Brooks, 30, both of Queens, allegedly took shots at an officer who pulled them over while he was conducting traffic radar enforcement early Saturday morning at at 218th Place and Hempstead Avenue.

* Police yesterday identified a man who was shot to death outside a Long Island City club.

Kallef Riley, 21, was shot once in the head in a parking lot adjacent to 21-11 Queens Plaza North about 4:40 a.m. Sunday, cops said.

Riley was rushed to New York Hospital, where he died about 45 minutes later, authorities said.

BROOKLYN

* A 53-year-old man was shot and wounded on a Fort Greene street early yesterday, police said.

The unidentified victim took a bullet in the buttock in front of 513 Myrtle Ave. at 3 a.m., cops said.

He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition. The gunman remains at large.

* A city Human Resources Administration employee was nabbed at his Bushwick home and charged with assault following an argument with his wife, police sources said.

Kemuel Hall, 36, a social worker, was arrested at his residence at 8:25 p.m. Sunday, after what police described as a domestic dispute.

THE BRONX

* Police are seeking the public’s help in finding the cold-hearted gunman who shot a man on a Morris Heights street earlier this month.

The 25-year-old victim was shot twice in the head in front of 271 E. 164th St. late March 13.

He miraculously survived after he was treated at Lincoln Hospital.

STATEN ISLAND

* A city sanitation worker was arrested for fleeing after a traffic accident, police said yesterday.

Kevin Vosbrink, 45, was nabbed at 10 p.m. Sunday night, cops said.

Details of the crash were not immediately available.
