THE BRONX
*** A 35-year-old man staggered into the 41st Precinct station house early yesterday after he was shot three times on a Longwood street, police said.
The assailant approached the man around midnight at East 156th and Fox streets and shot him in his left arm and buttocks.
The victim, whose name was withheld, told police he did not know why he had been shot and could not provide a description of his attacker. He was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
*** A gunman shot a man in the arm after accosting him on a Parkchester street, police said yesterday.
The shooting took place at Metropolitan and McGraw avenues around 7:30 a.m. Saturday. The victim was taken to Jacobi Hospital in stable condition.
*** A Mott Haven man was arrested after pistol-whipping another man in a drug-related dispute, authorities said yesterday.
Nathan Artis, 21, bashed his 44-year-old victim in the head with a .38-caliber gun at East 150th Street and Courtlandt Avenue on Friday, cops said.
After the wounded man called 911, Artis ran inside the nearby building where he lives, cops said, and tossed the gun out a back window of his apartment.
After his sister let cops into the apartment, an officer looked outside the window and saw the gun lying in an alleyway below.
Police busted Artis and charged him with assault and weapons possession.
The victim was treated for a head laceration at the scene.
BROOKLYN
*** A Crown Heights man was shot in the ankle in St. Johns Park yesterday, cops said.
Police did not know what triggered the attack, but said the 27-year-old man was shot near Bergen Street and Troy Avenue around 6 a.m.
He was rushed to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.
MANHATTAN
*** Police are investigating a bias incident in which anti-Semitic slurs were scrawled on a mailbox in an Upper East Side apartment building.
A tenant discovered the vandalism on Second Avenue near East 76th Street around 4 a.m. Saturday.
*** An East Harlem cop was suspended yesterday after he was arrested and charged with assaulting his wife, police said.
Police would not disclose where the alleged assault took place, but said the victim suffered minor injuries.
The cop was identified as Bryon Riley of the 25th Precinct.
