THE BRONX
* A teen was stabbed and critically injured yesterday during a botched robbery in Throgs Neck, police said
The 18-year-old victim and a friend had just picked up a pizza and were walking on Quincy Avenue near Sampson Avenue at around 12:30 a.m., when three unidentified men approached and announced a robbery.
A struggle ensued between the teen and two of the assailants, and he was stabbed six times in the stomach. During the attack, his friend tussled with the third thug, but was unharmed. The assailants then fled, empty-handed.
The victim was taken to Jacobi Hospital.
* A young man was shot and wounded yesterday by a thug who accosted him on a Fordham street, police said.
The 20-year-old man was shot in the chest on Creston Avenue near East 184th Street at around 12:30 a.m.
The victim was brought to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. The shooter, whose motive was unknown, fled.
* Two eagle-eyed cops arrested a Mott Haven man after they saw him acting suspiciously and found him in possession of an illegal knife, law-enforcement sources said yesterday.
The plainclothes officers were in an unmarked car on Beekman Avenue near East 141st Street just after midnight Friday morning when they made eye contact with Hasim Mitchell, 22, sources said.
Mitchell did an about-face and began walking away, prompting the cops to pull over and confront him. As the officers patted Mitchell down, they allegedly discovered a gravity knife in his back pocket and arrested him on weapon-possession charges. Police sources said Mitchell has about five open warrants for unknown offenses.
QUEENS
* A prostitute was found stabbed several times on a Rockaway street after she was thrown from a moving car, cops said yesterday.
The 47-year-old woman was discovered with stab wounds to her torso at Beach 53rd Street and Edgemere Avenue at around 9:30 p.m. Saturday. She was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.
* Also in the Rockaways, a 26-year-old man was shot in the hand by an assailant who approached him and opened fire, police said yesterday.
The man was attacked on Almeda Avenue near Beach 63rd Street at around 10 p.m. Saturday.
He was brought to Jamaica Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
BROOKLYN
* An unidentified man was shot and wounded yesterday on a Canarsie street, authorities said. Police do not know what sparked the 1:50 p.m. shooting, but said it took place at East 87th Street and Avenue B.
The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital. His condition was not immediately available.
* Police yesterday were looking for the motive in a shooting on a Bedford-Stuyvesant street that left a man critically wounded.
The man, 31, was shot once in the back at the corner of Hancock Street and Reid Avenue at around 3 p.m. Saturday. He was taken to Kings County Hospital. Police have no suspects.
MANHATTAN (lcf)
* An unidentified man was killed yesterday by a subway train as it pulled out of a Chelsea station, police said.
The man, who a source said appeared to be homeless, had walked into the tunnel on the northbound Seventh Avenue IRT tracks near 23d Street and was struck by a No. 3 train at 6:12 p.m.
Service was suspended for about an hour and a half.
