THE BRONX
*** Four men were arrested early yesterday in connection with the robbery of a fast-food eatery in the Allerton section, police said.
The incident unfolded at 2:15 a.m. when police were summoned by a 911 call about a robbery at a Popeye’s restaurant at 2751 Boston Road, sources said.
Police saw three men inside the store with a gun and chased after them when they fled the store, capturing them a short time later.
The trio – who were found with a BB gun and an unspecified sum of cash – were identified as Bruce Tavis, 19, John Lewis, 21, and Joe Padmore, 19.
All were charged with criminal possession of stolen property and robbery, police said.
A fourth suspect, Herbert Weisner, 20, was also charged in connection with the incident, but his role in the stickup was not immediately clear, sources said.
*** Detectives were hunting for a mysterious gunman who shot and wounded a 9-year-old boy in the Longwood section, police said yesterday.
The child, whose name was not released, was standing at East 163rd Street and Intervale Avenue at 10 p.m. Friday talking with other youths when an argument occurred nearby, sources said.
A shot rang out, hitting the victim in the right shoulder, police said.
The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital by EMS and was listed in stable condition, police said.
MANHATTAN
*** A 19-year-old man was shot and wounded as he was walking down a Greenwich Village street early yesterday when a sports utility vehicle drove by and one or more of the occupants opened fire, police said.
The victim was at the corner of East 13th Street and Fifth Avenue when a green Durango occupied by four to five men pulled up along side of him and began firing for reasons that are unclear.
The youth was wounded in the back and once in the elbow and taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital in stable condition.
The suspects were being sought last night.
QUEENS
*** A motorcyclist and his passenger where critically injured when the driver lost control of his vehicle in Astoria and slammed into a guardrail, police said yesterday.
The mishap occurred at 7:10 p.m. Friday when the driver of 2000 Kawasaki motorcycle heading north on 47th Street slammed into a guardrail at the intersection of Astoria Boulevard, sources said.
The victims, 32 and 24 years old, were taken to Elmhurst Hospital.
BROOKLYN
*** A man in his 30s was found dead on a set of unused railroad tracks in Bay Ridge, police said.
The unidentified body was found near 65th Street and Fourth Avenue at 3:30 p.m., cops said. It was unclear how long it had been there.
Cops said they are looking into the possibility that man either fell, jumped or was pushed off a nearby overpass.
