* A 43-year-old woman found dead in her Bedford Stuyvesant apartment was strangled with shoelaces, law-enforcement sources said yesterday.

The partially nude body of Elizabeth Gonzalez was discovered by a male acquaintance in the bedroom of her home on Lewis Avenue near Broadway at around 9 a.m. Friday, the sources said.

Authorities said Gonzalez had a history of drug use, and are trying to determine whether narcotics played a role in her murder. (lcf)

* A Pakistani man was subjected to harassing phone calls and threatening messages at his Bensonhurst home, police said yesterday.

The 51-year-old received the calls around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

* A 17-year-old was shot dead yesterday by an assailant on a Canarsie street, police said.

The teenager, identified by police as Daniel Springer, was shot in the buttocks and torso at Rockaway Parkway near Avenue L around 4 p.m.

Springer, of East 98th Street, was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he died. (m, s)

MANHATTAN

* A Long Island teenager was arrested on assault and drug charges yesterday after he accidentally stabbed a man on a Chinatown street, police said.

Joseph Nada, of Deer Park, was playing with a knife at about 6 p.m. on Mercer street near Canal when he accidentally dropped it, and his victim suffered a minor puncture wound to his back, cops said.

Police were called and found what they believe to be cocaine in Nada’s possession.

The 21-year-old wounded man was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. (lcf)

* A parolee was arrested on drug charges after he tried to flee a police checkpoint in East Harlem, authorities said yesterday.

Alex Parmales, 27, on parole for a narcotics violation, was driving west on East 116th Street near Pleasant Avenue at 10:15 p.m. Friday, when he saw cops stopping vehicles at a DWI checkpoint, sources said.

Parmales, who’s had his license suspended eight times, got nervous and abruptly parked his four-door sedan at a fire hydrant because there were no parking spaces, sources said.

Parmales got out of his vehicle and began walking east on 116th Street.

Two uninformed cops became suspicious, followed Parmales a short distance, then stopped him and asked for ID.

When Parmales couldn’t produce any, the cops searched him and found bags of crack and $3,100 in his pockets, sources said.

Parmales was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operation of motor vehicle.

THE BRONX

* A man was stabbed and critically injured by two assailants on a Soundview Street, police said yesterday.

The victim, 45, whose name was not released, argued with the two unidentified men, in their 20s, at Soundview Avenue near Rosedale Avenue around 4 a.m. Saturday.

The thugs stabbed the victim in the head and leg before fleeing.

The wounded man was taken to Jacobi Hospital.
