MANHATTAN
* Two men were busted on gun-possession charges yesterday after detectives pulled them over in a livery cab in East Harlem, police sources said.
Two detectives from the Manhattan North Borough Crime Unit were driving south on Fifth Avenue at 126th Street at around 1 a.m. when they stopped the livery cab for an undisclosed traffic violation, sources said.
When the detectives approached the vehicle, they saw two passengers, Milikul Shabazz and Michael Shyne, in possession of a loaded 9 mm semi-automatic, the sources said.
Shabazz, 29, and Shyne, 24, were immediately placed under arrest and charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
BROOKLYN
* An East New York restaurant owner has been charged with beating the manager of a car wash in a dispute over money, authorities said yesterday.
Manuel Delorbe, a 41-year-old restaurant owner, went to collect money from manager Shah Jahan at T.T. Car Wash on Loring Avenue near Fountain Avenue at 9:10 a.m. Tuesday.
But Jahan refused to talk to Delorbe about the cash he owed Delorbe for food purchases, sources said.
Jahan then told Delorbe to leave, but he refused. When Jahan threatened to call police, Delorbe allegedly picked up a garbage can and tossed it at Jahan, but missed him.
He then repeatedly punched Jahan and threatened to have friends beat him up, sources said.
When cops arrived, Delorbe cursed at them in Spanish and was arrested on assault and menacing charges. Jahan was not seriously injured.
* A Crown Heights man has been arrested for pummeling a worker in a law firm during a robbery, law-enforcement sources said yesterday.
Nathanie Walton, 46, walked into the law office on Fulton Street near Irving Place at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday after seeing the front door open, the sources said.
The worker, Ruben Edwards, was in the back of the office when he heard noise in front.
When he went to check it out, Edwards saw Walton standing there holding a laptop he swiped from a desk, according to the sources.
When Edwards asked about the laptop, Walton became evasive and a struggle ensued.
Walton then smashed Edwards in the chest and pushed him several times, the sources said.
Police were called and arrested Walton on charges of assault, menacing and harassment.
* Eagle-eyed cops grabbed a bank robber after they spotted the suspect changing his clothes shortly after the heist in Crown Heights, police said yesterday.
Rios Hussein, 45, walked into the Banco Popular branch on Eastern Parkway near Utica Avenue at 4:44 p.m. and slipped a teller a note demanding money, cops said.
After he was handed cash, Hussein fled into a nearby alley to change his clothes.
Cops found Hussein during a brief search and charged him with robbery.
* A 29-year-old man was seriously wounded yesterday when he was stabbed with a screwdriver in Crown Heights, police said.
The man, whose name was not immediately released, suffered a puncture wound to his neck on Bergen Street near Franklin Avenue at 4:44 a.m.
He was taken to Kings County Hospital in serious but stable condition.
The suspect, whose motive was not known, fled.
STATEN ISLAND
* A fingerprint match has led to the arrest of a man who damaged property in a Wards Hill home during a burglary, court records show.
David O’Neill, 41, pried open the back door and entered the Castleton Avenue residence around 9 p.m. on June 30, the records say.
He then allegedly broke four vending machines before fleeing. It was not immediately clear if he stole anything.
O’Neill was arrested on Tuesday and charged with burglary and criminal mischief.
