THE BRONX
* Police said a crook who robbed a Subway sandwich shop last week had less luck a few days later when he tried to pull the same caper at a nearby Blimpie’s in Castle Hill.
Robert Petrone, 41, of Throgs Neck Expressway, entered a Subway sandwich shop at 3714 East Tremont Ave. at 6:35 p.m. Aug. 23, pulled what may have been a toy gun on a worker and fled with cash, cops said.
At 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Petrone attempted a similar robbery of a Blimpie’s at 2200 Westchester Ave., sources said.
There were no details on what led up to that arrest, but police say Petrone is also being investigated for the Friday evening stickup of a Blockbuster video store, down the road from the sandwich shop robbery.
In that incident, the robber passed a note to a worker while displaying a gun under what appeared to be a bandana before fleeing in an car with cash, the sources said.
* A victim was injured by a knife-wielding man during a dispute in Fordham, police said.
The victim, 55, who was not identified, said he was standing at West Fordham Road and Andrews Avenue at 10:10 p.m. Saturday when an argument erupted with a man in his 20s.
The victim was stabbed in his right side and taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition. The attacker fled.
BROOKLYN
* A man was shot in Sunset Park, police said yesterday.
Andres Reyes, 32, was standing at 23rd Street and Fifth Avenue at 11:35 p.m. Saturday when a gunman opened fire, hitting him in the chest. The victim was taken to Lutheran Medical Center where he is in critical condition.
* A teenager reported being shot as he stood on a Bedford-Stuyvesant street, police said.
Steven Bell, 18, said he was in front of 545 Macon St. shortly after 10 p.m. Friday when a gunman shot him in the right arm for no apparent reason.
Bell was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.
* A boy was shot while standing on a street in Bedford-Stuyvesant, police said yesterday. The victim, 14, was standing in front of 455-B Gates Ave. when he says he heard three to four shots, felt pain and realized he’d been shot in the leg. He was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.
MANHATTAN
* A man who went to his friend’s aid during a street dispute in Washington Heights was stabbed the following day when he ran into the thugs, police said.
Silfred Rojas, 24, interceded when his friend got into a confrontation with four men Saturday evening, sources said.
The friend left the scene and no violence erupted, but several hours later, at 12:10 a.m. yesterday, Rojas ran into the four in front of 636 West 174th St. and was stabbed in the back. He was taken to Harlem Hospital in stable condition.
QUEENS
* A man was shot in Springfield Gardens when he tried to flee from two men in an apparent robbery attempt, police sources said.
Taron Henry, 20, had parked his car at 2:40 a.m. yesterday in the vicinity of 175th Street and Farmers Boulevard.
When he began to walk away, two men approached him and tried to get his attention, the source said.
Henry ignored the duo, and when they approached him, he began running. He realized a short time later that he had been wounded in his upper arm by a gunshot.
He was taken to Mary Immaculate Hospital in stable condition.
