* Police are probing the death of 29-year-old man who was found bleeding on a Claremont street.

The man, whose name was withheld, was seen staggering down Webster Avenue shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday night.

He finally sat down in front of a building, where he was spotted by a couple who live nearby.

The man was conscious but uncooperative, and authorities said was drunk. He was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he died at 3:06 a.m.

Police sources said the man had a bump on his head, but the exact cause of his death will be determined by the medical examiner following an autopsy.

* A 22-year-old man was shot on an Allerton street corner, police sources said yesterday.

The victim, whose name was withheld, told cops he was on his way home at 11:30 p.m. Sunday when an argument broke out at the corner of Boston Road and Wilson Avenue, sources said.

That’s when he said he heard four gunshots and tried to take cover. He soon realized a bullet struck his left elbow and went to Montefiore Hospital for treatment.

The victim said he didn’t know any of the men who were fighting.

* An argument between two women in Melrose led to bloodshed when one stabbed the other, police sources said yesterday.

The 21-year-old victim, whose name was withheld, was stabbed once in her left shoulder on Jackson Avenue at 6 a.m. Sunday, authorities said.

She sought treatment at Lincoln Hospital.

MANHATTAN

* A stabbing victim was found bleeding on an East Harlem street, police sources said yesterday.

The man, 28, who was not identified, was found on First Avenue at around 3 a.m. on Sunday.

Although he initially refused medical assistance, EMS medics took him to Harlem Hospital, where he was treated for a stab wound to the lower back and lacerations on both sides of his face.

* A city sanitation worker was busted after he got drunk and fired a gun outside his Upper West Side apartment building police sources said yesterday.

Robert Mixon, 30, was drinking with friends before he got out of a car on West 93rd Street and began firing a .45-caliber handgun, authorities said.

After he took his finger off the trigger, Mixon ran inside his apartment, retrieved another gun and placed both pistols in a plastic bag, which he stashed around the corner from his home, police sources said.

He was nabbed after witnesses told cops he was the shooter when he returned home – and he tried to pick up a spent shell casing, the sources said.

He was charged with weapons possession and reckless endangerment.

BROOKLYN

* Two thugs shot and robbed a man as he walked out of a fast-food restaurant in East New York early yesterday, police sources said.

The 27-year-old victim, whose name was withheld, was leaving Linden Fried Chicken, Pizza, Ribs, Burgers and Doughnuts at 2596 Linden Blvd. at 2:30 a.m. when the two thieves approached him.

One of the suspects whipped out a revolver and demanded the victim’s cash. When the man refused, the robber shot him in the left leg and stole all the money he had in his pockets.

The wounded man called 911 and was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he was in stable condition. His attackers remain at large.

QUEENS

* Police yesterday arrested a Pennsylvania man who allegedly shot into a crowd on an Astoria street corner last week.

Christian Mora, 26, of Reading, opened fire on 10 men on 35th Street at 7:25 p.m. on Sept. 6, police sources said. He had previously argued with them.

After the shooting, in which no one was injured, Mora fled in a gray Chevy SUV, authorities said.

Mora, who has 11 prior arrests, was charged with reckless endangerment, weapons possession and criminal use of a firearm. Police recovered 10 shell casings at the scene.
