*** A 35-year-old career criminal was busted for mugging a man in Central Park yesterday, police sources said.

Franklin Hall walked up to a 22-year-old man at West 110 Street and East Drive just before 2:30 p.m. and asked him for the time, sources said.

When the man said he did not have the time, Hall snatched his Walkman and ran off. The victim was not injured.

Hall, who sources said has been arrested more than two dozen times since 1986, was nabbed a short time later in the park. He was charged with robbery.

THE BRONX

*** An off-duty firefighter was arrested for smashing windows at his girlfriend’s house during an argument, police sources said. Joseph Liang, 39, was busted for the damage he caused to the Pelham Parkway house at 6:30 p.m.

Liang was charged with criminal mischief. It was not immediately clear which firehouse he works out of.

BROOKLYN

*** A teen was shot dead on a Cypress Hills street last night, police said.

The 18-year-old – whose name was withheld pending family notification – was at the corner of Pine Street and South Ridgewood Avenue when a gunman shot him in the back of the head just after 7:30 p.m., police said.

The victim was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, where he died.

*** Two men robbed thousands of dollars from a Coney Island discount store at gunpoint yesterday, police sources said.

The men walked into the Silver Star Discount Store on Neptune Avenue at 10 a.m., and one of the bandits pulled out a silver handgun, walked around the counter and demanded cash from an employee, sources said. The other stood by the entrance as a lookout.

The gun-toting man snatched two phones, two cartons of cigarettes and $3,700 in cash, sources said, adding that the employee and another person in the store were then ordered to lie down on the floor as the bandits fled.

*** A Flatbush man was arrested on assault charges after he lashed his wife with a belt for refusing to have sex with him, authorities said yesterday.

The incident took place at 2 a.m. on Sept. 7, when Orlick Jones, 37, woke up his wife in their Ocean Avenue apartment, police sources said.

When the 33-year-old woman rebuffed her husband’s advances, Jones allegedly cursed and yelled at her, then belted her on the legs.

He then allegedly grabbed her by the hair and dragged her into the bedroom. Using the belt buckle, Jones then hit her thighs, legs and arms, the sources said.

The victim was taken to a local medical office, where she was released after treatment.

After she reported the violence, Jones surrendered at the 70th Precinct station house Tuesday and was charged with assault, menacing and weapons possession.

*** A teen was arrested after clashing with a cop over moving his bicycle, authorities said yesterday.

Kevin Jones, 17, was in a pizzeria at Eastern Parkway and Nostrand Avenue in Crown Heights at 1:25 p.m. Tuesday when an officer walked in and asked him to move his bike – which was on its side, blocking the sidewalk.

When Jones refused, the officer decided she would move the bike herself.

Jones allegedly became enraged and began cursing at her. The officer then demanded ID, but Jones refused.

When she tried to arrest him, Jones rammed his shoulder into her and walked across the street, police sources said.

After the officer called for backup, several cops arrived and arrested Jones after a struggle.

He was charged with assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

*** Two would-be robbers were arrested in Gravesend after they menaced a man with a razor and tried to run away from cops, authorities said yesterday.

Michael Lash, 19, and Shamik Mitchell, 20, confronted their 47-year-old victim as he was walking at 25th and Bath avenues early Tuesday, police sources said.

Lash pulled a razor and threatened to cut the man’s throat if he did not hand over cash, the sources said. Mitchell then told Lash to shoot the victim, who is disabled and walks with a cane, authorities said.

The man used the cane to fend off the suspects before he was able to get to a nearby bus depot.

He called police from there and gave a description of the assailants.

During a search, police spotted the suspects on Stillwell Avenue and arrested them after a brief foot chase.

They were charged with menacing, attempted robbery and resisting arrest. No one was injured.

STATEN ISLAND

*** A teen wielding a boxcutter slashed a man across the face on a New Brighton street, authorities said yesterday.

Police did not know why Juan Qual, 18, attacked his victim at York Avenue and Pauw Street on Monday. The man needed 20 stitches to close his wound.

Cops on Tuesday arrested Qual on charges of assault, menacing and weapons possession.

*** A Staten Island man was arrested after he called 911 and falsely reported a bomb at Port Richmond HS, authorities said yesterday.

On Monday, Michael Artis, 21, allegedly told a 911 operator, “If police call back, tell them that there is a bomb inside of Port Richmond High School,” at 85 St. Joseph’s Ave.

Police arrested Artis that day and charged him with falsely reporting an incident. It was not immediately clear how police tracked him down, but sources said cops might have traced the call to his cellphone.

QUEENS

*** A swastika was found spray-painted in a College Point park yesterday.

The vandalism was discovered at 11:50 a.m. on the ground in Powells Cove Park at 133rd Place and 11th Avenue.
